I do miss seeing the snow fall. I don't miss the mess and the cleanup and the icy roads.

Have heard from family today and sooooooo glad we are here.

My folks on Cape Cod have heavy rain, strong winds up to 50mph and no power since 2am today

A sister in Suffield has over 14" of snow and no power since yesterday afternoon and her daughter is closing on, and moving into, her 1st house tomorrow, maybe!

A cousin in East Hartford experiencing the same as my sister but has quite a few trees down

Thanks for the news, Waynet. This explains why I haven't heard from my daughter in Rocky Hill.

Wow! Those are serious accumulations, even if they won't last. The power outages, combined with the cold temperatures, can be a real hardship on people and animals. I'm grateful to be in Flordia!!

This snowfall was historic because it happened in October and some parts of the state saw heavy acculumulations.

I didn't watch the news much but they closed the Merritt Parkwy down and only allowed emergency type vehicles on it.

Wayyyyyyyyy tooooooooo earlyyyyyyyyyyy for this junk.

While my wife and I are delighted to be in TV, we are worrided about our children and other family who live in Danbury. Schools are closed Monday and may be fior the entire week because of power issues. Connecticut Light & Power better respond more quickly than they did in the September storms. We were still there then and we were without power for a week. This may be worse.

are without power. Some have generators. Some had phones working.
Tonight I have been unable to reach any of them by their land lines or cell
lines. I wish they were here...with me!

Yes.... what a day.... my daughter and family are at our house as they do not have power..... CL&P... probably won't get the power on all week...and a huge tree fell in their yard and split in half.... and we are leaving CT to come to TV on Tues AM... to pick our lot/or new home construction... yah !! Hopefully this is our last snow storm !!!!!!
