Why is it there has been no mention of these bills that are apparently just sitting on good old Harry's desk? Even if they acknowledge they are there but being ignored because...?...?...?
Just like we never heard from the media that Obama's own jobs proposal was never put on the Senate agenda for months...but all we ever heard was that "congress" was not cooperating. There was also never any mention that senate dems did not like much of the content of Obama's proposal....silence!
And now the great campaigner is working the "we can't wait" smoke job. He has had these executive powers options at his disposal since he took office. So why has HE WAITED UNTIL NOW to finally use them? Because in the early years of his term he didn't need them to keep his job. So now that he has returned back to continual/perpetual campaign mode, he is using all the tools at his disposal. To solve the jobs problem. Absolutely not.....to keep his job.
Add to the above his ongoing farcical stance how he cannot get the job done because of politics as usual in the congress.
All the above plus his lack of performance on real issues, these are the ongoing oblique, evasive, dodge and weave, lawyerly talking actions that I do not like about Obama.
He insults the intelligence of ANY thinking American.....R or D or black or white worldwide.
Please, somebody, anytime you see his face or hear his voice and he is not campaigning please direct me to where I can view/hear it. I always enjoy adding firsts to my experiences list!!!!!!

I am sure that this has been said on here before, but I think Obama was in love with the thought of being president and had no idea at all what it took to be one. He acts more like a king than a public servant. He and his wife have taken advantage of the office from the first day.
It looks like one big long party from where I sit.
I also think that the dems fell in love with electing the first black president.
I believe that they have elected a black man but still not a president.
He is devoid of any real substance in his ideas except if you are a WSO type that thinks it is time for all of the rich to give up there earnings to the poor left out forgotten average american.
His memoirs will be easy to write. Just publish what was on the teleprompter.
He has read his way through the last three years. Every word being writen for him. If he does not have a teleprompter then he reverts back to "spread the wealth" because that is all he really believes in.
I hope two things right now. One is that Obama is a one term president and the other is I hope that the WSO are not the 99% but more in the 1% of americans! If they are the majority, I quit!

Bill: Got a link? I'm rather interested in this because the Dems are trying to make hay out of the GOP stalling Obama's jobs bill in the Senate.

btkMany can take the situation in Washington and put their own political or ideological spin on them. But in my opinion there are no politicians or parties in any of the branches of government who are working for the benefit of the country, who are actually governing. I'm not critical of any of them. I AM critical of ALL of them. The only small and probably inconsequential "statement" I can make is not to vote for any of them in any upcoming elections. No one in Washington has earned my vote. My guess is that the vast majority of Americans agree. That being the case, why bother criticizing the actions or inactions of any of them. Just throw them all out when you have a chance.
In that so many people probably agree with me--that's what all the polls say these days--it'll be interesting to see how the upcoming elections actually turn out. My guess is that after all those special interest campaign contributions get turned into effective re-election advertising campaigns, beating the voters into a froth of partisanship, we won't see anywhere near enough change in Washington to make a difference.
Watch what happens. When the ads begin, suddenly the dialog here will turn to "this guy or gal really did an OK job", or "the only party or candidate that can get us out of this mess is __________". The advertising will be working. And one, two, three, four years from now, we'll still be arguing about who is responsible for the mess in our government. But the answer will be clear...IT'S US!!

Bill: Got a link? I'm rather interested in this because the Dems are trying to make hay out of the GOP stalling Obama's jobs bill in the Senate.
"House Republicans used the release of the monthly jobs report Friday to step up their calls for the Senate to act on House-passed bills that they say would boost employment."
............."The House GOP majority has pointed to what it calls the “Forgotten 15” jobs bills that the House has passed to create jobs. With the passage of more legislation this week, that total is up to 20. The bills are mostly deregulation measures, and while they have drawn some bipartisan support, Democratic leaders have been skeptical they will do much for job creation."

I don't mean to sound snarky but that article mentioned "The Forgotten 15" without any details.
The reason I say that is that I'd LOVE to see what attachments or provisos the bills have that would make them so 'toxic' to Democrats - or are they simply being another version of "The Party of 'No'".

the party of no is not partisan!
You can tell the republican party members of no because they have an R after their name.
And you can tell the democratic party members of no because they have a D after their name!!

notlongnow: I wholeheartedly agree and am beginning to believe that this description seems to fit so many other pols both federal and state. It seems they campaigned for their job just to secure the perks but forgot that they were suppose to successfuly perform the duties of their office in behalf of "we the people". I suppose that is why a people like Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Governor Cuomo and Marco Rubio, etc get such attention. The sad thing about that is they are doing what they were elected to do and no more.
This brings me to VG's comments and again I agree with his comments. The voting public has lowered their expectations of our government officials and we need to step back and reflect on what pols wee elected to do and then demand they prform. To me it is no longer Dem v Rep its us against them
