View Full Version : Isn't it amazing how many distorted events surface if there is an R by one's name?

Isn't it amazing how these women who have been "violated" by Cain have been satisfied to be quiet until now!! What a coincidence? BS!!!
Isn't it amazing how diligent the media is on every network to make sure we are aware of the latest trollop to come forward?
And isn't it even more amazing when another politician is involved in something that is much more significant, much more impact on we the people and yet one has to search far and wide? Oh yeah that would be Eric Holder and the gun runner scandal. What is the difference? Well for starters Holder has a D after his name...and most importantly he works for Obama.
On an issue that reaches much farther into the effects on the USA, that touches significantly more people, hence more news opportunities there is almost no coverage at all.
But when the "systems" research uncovers potential gold diggers, Katie bar the door.
I would think even the opposition would be concerned with the behavior of the media and their distorted exploitation of an individual for political benefit.
Totally disgusting and blatantly flaunting it in front of we the people.

Put yourself in their position.
For the sake of argument, assume some violation took place.
You were paid for his misdeeds and avoided public charges. You were paid for your silence. At the time, it was "just another bigwig" who, form your point of view, should have paid for his misdeeds.
Now you see that he's a few steps away from being the President of the United States.
You risk having to pay back the money you received (years ago - meaning it's most likely gone) in order to let the country know what kind of man YOU encountered.
It doesn't matter if there's an R or D after the name. You think "D" gets a free pass? Ask Gary Hart what he thinks about that. Ask Anthony Weiner. Bill Clinton didn't exactly get a 'free pass', though he survived.

John Edwards is smiling pretty boy that got the longest-running "free pass" from the media. Not only about his low-IQ bimbo and love child, but about his campaign slogan of "The Two Americas....the evil filthy rich vs. The Poor", while he was living in the 28,000 sq. ft estate worth $5-6 million...

I wasn't looking for a justification as that is not relevant in my inquiry.
I was merely looking for a comparison of improper behavior by two public figures and the simple fact one happens to be sheltered because he is a dem within Obama's ranks, hence no exploitation of the wrong doing...no keeping the public in the know about the wrong doing. No pursuing of the multitudes of opportunities to uncover more of the story.
Whereas Cain's alleged wrong doing is jumped upon immediately by the media and every nuance, credible or not, is pursued and reported on.
If the media treated Cain as Holder the allegations would be non events.
If the media treated Holder as they are Cain...Holder would have been forced to resign by now.
DJP as for your comment:
"...in order to let the country know what kind of man YOU encountered...."
You really believe the trumped up publicity in any way reveals what kind of man Cain is? An incident from 10-15 years ago? It is about as relevant to what kind of man he is as the unfavorable revelations from Obama's past that were very quickly categorized as what a person just did that many years ago.
And in today's partisan polarized America to say it does not matter whether an R or a D is either wishful thinking....an attempted smoke job...or very naieve or you are employing the legal justification of past events to justify the present.
The thread addresses the obvious discrimination by the media for alleged wrong doings.

The intent of this attack on Cain is obvious. He has risen in the polls and someone looked back at his history and found something that could detract from his message. The events occurred 15 years ago.
Cain should have had these issues vetted before running.
Again I say I will stay focused on which candidate ,in my opinion, has the skill sets that will allow him/her to successfuly execute the duties of the POTUS

The press knew about John Edwards girlfriend and love child but kept it under wraps for months even though the Enquirer had it for months on front pages. How blatant is that? How do you spell hippocrites?

Me thinks you would be singing a different tune if Cain had a D behind his name. And as for Holder if he lied then he should go but remember the previous administration had the same program. Not a peep out of the right in regard to that.
I know a little about sexual harassment having seen a co-worker taken over a man's knee an spanked and I watched as it was covered up. Well I did speak up and said I would go to HR if my boss didn't only to be told the woman didn't want to do that. In the end that was something she regretted for quite some time.

It is good these women have spoken up now.
Because, We The People DEMAND Cain answer these questions, and We The People will NOT allow Cain to just brush these allegation aside. They will not go away. There are laws against sexual harrassment - when, and if, this guy is proven to be a lair then We The People will demand he be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
When these incidents took place is irrelevant - what is irrelevant is that they are being brought to the surface before it is too late, and this incompetent ********* gets vetted fully BEFORE any elections or primaries takes place.
Hopefully, the R's will vet this guy more than McBush vetted The Wasilla Quitta.

Does anyone remember that with Mr. Weiner there's was proof? There was pictures. There was even one with Mr. Weiners...................I won't say it.
Also, it wasn't the act with Mr. Weiner, it was the cover-up.
All there is here is suspect hearsay.

We The People have been pushed aside in our quest for TRUTH regarding Barry Soetoro, the college student that accept financial aid for foreign students. We The People have been berated for asking about the same guy, with different name, who claims to be from Hawaii with his Connecticut Social Security number. The same guy who refuses to release his Harvard transcripts for We The People...We The People who when polled about our opinions of ObamaCare, the majority responded with a resounding Disapproval, were ignored and had it rammed through anyway...We The People who can often be accused of being racists when asking legitimate questions of a BI-Racial man that was raised by his WHITE Grandparents who sent him to a very elite private school...GIVE ME A BREAK!

Really. The Enquirer? The Enquirer is the only paper I ever saw that would run a headline when something they reported was proven to be true because THAT was an unusual story.
And, since you asked, it's "hypocrite" :)
In all seriousness, it's getting play because they smell blood in the water. In the same day, Cain went from "I don't recall" to "there was no settlement" to "oh, there was an AGREEMENT but not a settlement".
If he'd said "Yes, there was some misunderstandings 15 years ago", only the far left little yipping dog-types would have kept up.
Remember some of the reaction to Clinton? It wasn't the sex - it was the LYING. Someone once came out with what Clinton's speech SHOULD have been.. I don't remember it all but it started out with "Yes, I banged her like a cheap gong".
Look *anywhere* and you'll find that Americans, by and large, are a forgiving people, provided you are sincere. Heck, even in sports - it's why Any Pettite got a free pass on steroids (he admitted it) while Alex Rodriguez and barry Bonds do not.

You're right Coralway. Let's not get distracted with the heroes of the left who are also perverts, philanderers, abusers of women, accused rapists, a man who leaves a girl to drown and lies about it, and even former members of the KKK.

Was Clinton registered? How about Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy who left a woman drowning in his car while he swimmed to safety and went to hotel to sleep it off and then reported it in the morning. Kennedy should have done a life sentence in prison. Kennedy was a horrible man who spent his life degrading women.

Quite sure that what Cain has been accused of (guilty or not guilty) doesn't come close to being in the legal definition of a sex offender...

I had heard a little of this on Rush, but the whole story reads like a piece of literary fiction! Who will get this story out to the American people? Hopefully evil will be conquered by good SOON!
Ann is absolutely correct with this, her last line..."This time, Obama's little helpers have not only thrown a bomb into the Republican primary, but are hoping to destroy the man who deprives the Democrats of their only argument in 2012: If you oppose Obama, you must be a racist."

I am very familiar with the building that David Axelrod lives in. What I can't figure out is how someone who has filed for bankruptcy TWICE can afford to live there. Lake Point Tower is in the very high rent district.

After reading this thread, I find two things glaringly interesting.
The first is, as usual, these women are being called "trollops" "bimbo's" and "liars". Blaming the women victims in any sexual harassment or assault case is as old as time. Sad, but true. Shame on you.
Second, it always amazes me when ANY public figure, Republican or Democrat, sports hero or film star, etc. -- That ANY man living in the spotlight can't think beyond their open zipper! It's astonishing really. It doesn't seem to matter how much they have to lose, who's lives they ruin, what people they disappoint that might look up to them... they just can't seem to keep it in their pants!!! Wow!
That said, I don't think Herman Cain can brush this under the carpet and pretend it isn't happening. IMHO, he was NEVER Presidential material anyway. And now, after that TV ad and this -- I find him just creepy. We shall see... we shall see...

Yes, stollen right out of the Bubba Clinton handbook. Why are liberals afraid of conservative blacks? Are they afraid that blacks are capable of rising to great heights without liberal welfare handouts? Reminds me of what they did to Clarence Thomas. Democrats have no shame.

Perhaps you should re-read my post. Obviously you missed my point.
As for "liberals being afraid of conservative blacks"... that's about as bigoted statement as you can make and, it goes without saying... completely untrue. Quote frankly, the Dems would love nothing more than to have Herman Cain as your nominee. But, borrowing the words of Cain "It ain't gonna happen!"
I know those words are out of context, but so eloquently put, I couldn't resist! haha! :loco:
The truth is, besides Republican Conservatives pulling Cain down, he's doing it to himself. Some might enjoy his faux "straight" talk, but his downside is, is that he doesn't know when to shut up! Even last night, boasting he'd take a lie detector test, then back peddling on that immediately.
My issue is not that he's a "Black Conservative" -- My issue is that I don't think he's Presidential material (PERIOD) Don't make my statement into something it's not. Cain will be the cause of his own undoing. Watch and see.

Kennedy had a long history of cheating on his wives and carousing. His people have paid off many women to keep quiet. There is strong allegations that Kennedy even paid off Mary Jo Kopechne's parents after he left her to die in car drowning. He wanted to run for President and didn't want them to talk to the press. Eventually, thank God, his presidential effort could not shake the death of that poor girl.

I bet you also defended the victims when Bill Clinton was presented with one woman after another alleging sexual harassment, and which escalated all the way to a rape accusation that many said was a credible story.
I also know that you must have called for the resignation of Sen. Ted Kennedy and Sen. Chris Dodd after the story surfaced of the two of them sexually assaulting a waitress in the infamous "sandwich" story.

dems have a very big problem with Cain as the opposition candidate because that takes the race card away from them...they would not be able to claim if one is against Obama they are a racist.
It also presents a major challenge for Obama to compete against a "real" black man for the black vote. (nothing racist...merely stating what some blacks have already said).

Explaining the reason "some blacks" are saying it might help those who'll have a knee jerk response. It is being said because, unlike Obama, Cain was born and raised and grew up in this country, and lived the "American Black Experience" in a way Obama never did.

isn't it considered being sexist when there is a discussion of who had what sex with whom and when and what ever....and then have some immediately characterize such goings on as a "slip of the zipper" (implying male but I suppose a real open minded person would include women slipping a zipper....but that is not the intended allegation in the posts here).
History proves it most certainly is not limited to a men only enjoyment. It does take two to tango or is it tangle. And of course when it comes to politics or gold digging it is always the woman/women who have been living life day to day and silent for decades and scores of years....until a high profile opportunity presents itself. Truly amazing how that works....eh?
When one has a vehicle accident it is expected to be reported within 24 hours....an alleged sexual encounter it is OK to wait 10-20-30 years!!!!!
