The Celebration Brass Band is presenting a "Salute to Veterans Concert" Friday evening, Nov. 11th, at 7 pm at Laurel Manor Rec Center. If you have never heard a Brass Band, you are in for a treat.
Tickets are $10 at the Door
Full Disclosure: Ohioboy is a member of this band (and several others). This is his favorite of the several groups in which he plays.

That night after being thankful and recognizing our veterans during the day, I will be watching the MSU vs. UNC basketball game which will be played on an Aircraft carrier in San Diego. It is the first Carrier Classic (http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2011/11/09/north-carolina-michigan-state-set-to-face-off-aboard-navy-warship/). GO SPARTANS!

I'll be having lunch with a couple of other vets, courtesy of my broker! The firm (Morgan Stanley) encourages its associates to take a veteran or two to lunch!
And, you may be sure that my flag will be flying, and there'll be a dozen or so smaller ones encircling my front yard.

Me too graciegirl!!!!
My husband is a veteran and I always make his favorite meal of chicken & dumplings from scratch ( no cheating with bisquick, or canned chicken broth ) on Veterans Day. It's not easy after a hard day of working, but neither is what he did serving our country many years ago.
Thanks to all veterans reading this thread, and to 2BNTV for starting the thread. By the way what will you be doing?
