Interior Design Suggestions

Well, after finally getting here for good last week, my wife and I are doing a bunch of things to our CYV. One of the first things we're doing is replacing the carpeting in the Living Room and Dining Room with either a laminate or real wood floor. But we have been once again reminded that neither of us has a lot of talent for interior design, so we would like to call in some professional help. Does anyone have any recommendations for interior designers in the area? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I asked the same question a few months ago. A couple people pm’d me with names of local decorators. I called them all and soon realized that hiring an interior designer would not be an option, just too expensive! I did however order a few design books online that I read cover to cover after which I decided to come up with my own plan. I also found that most store employees were very helpful and offered their best suggestions when asked. I am happy with the way things turned out – plus I saved a lot of money. Have faith in yourself! On the other hand, I will pm you the numbers of the decorators if you would like them. Your budget may be larger than mine.

We hired a decorator who exceeded our expectations. Feel free to send me a PM. I'll send you some before and after pictures. She's originally from Minnesota, great work ethic, she always returned our calls timely. Some of the neighbors hired her as well. She has a real eye for color, placement of furniture, made window treatments. The best part, she made our house into a lovely home and was so reasonable. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
