It's an amazing story, but I don't expect anything to be done about any of it. There will be not reporting of it either in the lamestream media.
I think even our own liberals will ignore this one. What can they gain? The disciples will just walk on by.

Wow...I remember this story back in the 90's...and we never heard another word. Now the "Black Panthers" are farmers? Recruiting at Churches for a class action suit??
What the heck is wrong with this country? :Screen_of_Death:

it is how votes are bought and paid for in politics. This is but one very small example of what it is that special interest groups and lobbyists obtain from the lawmakers. And like this one most are never ever heard of or about by the American people.
These are the kinds of programs that are usually included in other legislation that is being rammed through the approval process, better known as pork or ear marks.
Billions and billions of $$$ that will never be cut because nobody in politics will suggest such because they don't want theirs cut. As a result they all keep quiet about the spending that would make excellent fodder for spending cuts.
It is much easier to cut social security and defense and to also keep the spot light off programs like the pig farmers.
More proof on the subject of who it is the lawmakers are beholding to and it most certainly is not main stream America.

PS....where is the opposition commentary. I would like to know if a program like this is OK with you all??

I knew about this and posted about it when the Shirley Sherrod stories were coming out. Remember Sherrod? Even though the controversy came about because of the manner in which her speech to the NAACP was edited, it still shed light on the Obama administration and the issue at large.
Sherrod and her husband, Charles Sherrod, got the bulk of the USDA payouts to black farmers when they formed New Communities Inc. which received some $13 million in payouts. The Sherrods personally received $330,000 for "mentally suffering."
Where is Shirley Sherrod now? Working as a private contractor for the USDA. She's running Southwest Georgia Project for Community Education she co-founded to "bolster relations between minority farmers and ranchers and the USDA."
