Bridgeport, Bridgeport everywhere. What's up with all the Bridgeports? Has TV run out of names? Bridgeport could now mean almost anywhere in TV. I think it's sort of confusing and question why you would give so many villages the same name, albeit with an "at" after it. Is the newest Bridgeport just "Bridgeport"?

I think our village is the newest Bridgeport Sam, and it is Bridgeport at Laurel Valley.
For those who are confused, and I know it isn't you Sam.....
There is Bridgeport at Lake Sumter and that is across from the lighthouse at Lake Sumter.
There is Bridgeport at Lake Miona and that is across from Arnold Palmer Country Club off Buena Vista.
Then pretty adjacent but not contiguous..is Bridgeport at Miona Shores that is also on Lake Miona but down Rainey Trail that turns off of Buena Vista.
Now the brand new Premier neighborhood south of 466A I THOUGHT I heard was called Maclenny, but I am not sure of that.

Gracie, There is an insert in The Sun showing designer homes for sale in "Bridgeport". They are running in the mid 200Ks. Where is that Bridgeport?

The Villages planners are not very imaginative, in my opinion. There are millions of options for village and street names without repeating the same ones over and over. Maybe they need some new blood on the planning board.

Couldn't find the ad in today's paper. I know there is a "Bridgeport" designer model. But didn't see what you are referring to.......... confused...........

Chuck, There is an insert "New and Preowned Homes & Villas" in todays paper.
On the front page, bottom right, you see one of the homes. There are more inside the insert.
Appears to be one of the newer homes on 466 and Morse, those being built where the buffalo were once roaming. It's a Wyndham, about 1700 or so square feet of living space.
All the Villages that are named Bridgeport at **** seem to have Premier models only, am I correct?
graciegirl

And where/what this home is...as far as I can see is a Wyndham, a new home in Hacienda Hills (The new area near Morse and 466) D'ya suppose it is Bridgeport at Mission Hills?
The new Premier neighborhood south of 466A is apparently named Fernandina at MacLinney...? Not too catchy but I guess they are running out of names............

It is not clear at all to me. In fact, if you go to thevillages.com and search the pre owned homes you will also see there is a village simply named "Bridgeport"...

It's a wonder they got as big as they are without your input. Maybe if you offered to help, they could be as big as Hunters Creek.

You can search homes by VHN - this one is at 592 BERMUDEZ COURT
It's in the former Buffalo area (Southeast of 466 @ Morse)

I've wondered the same myself. In the paper the villas at "Mission Hills" are advertised as being in "Bridgeport". Confusing!

I used to think that all Bridgeports were only premier homes.
But then the new-ish ones west of the Waterfront Inn, all of which are essentially CYV, are, I've understood, in The Village of Bridgeport at Creekside Landing.
Now, there's confusion. Creekside Landing is across the street (Old Mill Run). The entrance to these new CYV is labelled "Edgewater Bungalows."
Maybe it's simply to test us oldsters???????????????

There are three Villages of Bridgeport. All Premier villages.
They are;
Bridgeport at Lake Sumter. (You can see it across the lake when you eat outside at the Lighthouse)
Bridgeport at Lake Miona. It is next to Lake Miona rec center off Buena Vista to the WEST. Bridgeport is off of Buena Vista to the EAST.
Then there is Bridgeport at Miona Shores. It is off of Buena Vista, off Rainey Trail, just past the public boat dock.
THREE. I tell you THREE.
The others, ie, Creekside Landing etc. just go by Crieekside Landing. I feel very sure of this.

You guys haven't got it figured out. Bridgeport is a code name. It means "premier". When you're at the cocktail party and ask where he lives, the simple answer "Bridgeport" says as much as he needs to say and as much as you need to know.
Five or ten years ago folks just had to say "Harmeswood" or "Hickory Hammock", but now, with so many premier neighborhoods we need just one name to convey the important message.

Whatever you want to believe, BUT it is as simple as looking at the new CYV's at Mission Hills in the paper or online--- they are advertised to be in Bridgeport. Correct me if I am wrong! I know, maybe these are PREMIER villas!:loco:

Thanks, Cabo. Hu and I have been hauling some rock. Neither of us have ever been afraid of hard work. It started with building a privacy hedge between our neighbors new pool and ours. I guess it got good to us, so Home Depot is delivering stone on a regular basis.;-) and we are stoning the works!
Not having the heavy equipment we have up in Pa, we are using our poor golf cart to haul stone around. It's a four seat Western and it will take a load!!! We have had mounds of dirt and mulch dropped that we shovel it into buckets and onto the cart. I miss our big John Deere with 60" bucket and Kubota ATV with dump truck back. If we ever get that t-bird out of the garage here, the Kubota is coming to Florida! Just think of the yard projects we could do then!!
And yes, we do have a great softball team!

Just curious, do you need ARC approval to "stone the works"? Regardless, Everything Samhass does, she does with class! Fireboy would like to bring his Backhoe to TV, but it has to stay in Canada at the cottage!
