Fondly remembering the first pet you had:

Mittens Milkdrop. I think I was about eleven and she was a tuxedo kittie.

I have very little recollection of our first dog....but he was named Tippy...followed by a few more dogs with the same name... ;)
The really first dog that was mine was my pooch, Mike, a golden retriever, German shepherd mix. He was wonderful, loving, watchful and a great "hunter." We grew up near the sea and every once in a while, Mike would come home with a big, very dead fish. He'd present that dam smelly thing to us as a gift... ;) Wasn't easy getting rid of that fish, the dog figured if we didn't eat it, it was his....lolol. Ever chase a 60 pound dog running around with a dead fish?
