I've searched the forums for any information regarding Barbershop Singing in The Villages, but can find nothing.

If anyone is interested in forming a quartet or chorus, please feel free to contact me. I'm a frontline director (Ohio, New Jersey, & Vermont), lyricist, arranger, show producer and writer, coach, judge, and, of course, I love to sing.

At 65 years old, I bring to the podium 58 years of experience singing a cappella - yes, having begun my life-long involvement with barbershop while in grade school!

I'm a newbie in TV from Vermont, and now that I'm a snowbirder, I'll probably be here until the end of April, allowing lots of time to have fun rehearsing and entertaining around the area.

I brought my pitchpipes and a handful of sheet music - I can get a library-full if needed.

Contact: Jody Himebaugh (cell) 609-374-5960, or 352-350-6640. I'm on Nash Loop in Hemingway.

They do lots of performances here and seem to be mostly Villagers.

A heartfelt welcome to you! We need more barbershop singers! If you do searches online, there are several men's and women's choruses and groups in the area. I'm an experienced baritone, but won't be there for 2 years.

Thank you! They rehearse a very short distance from here, so I'm stopping by this Thursday for a visit.

I'm new to the Villages, having just bought our home here. I've been singing in church choirs for years but have always wanted to get into barbershop harmony - just never had the time until now.

This thread started almost a year and a half ago. Has there been any progress since then?

Just curious right now. We will be snowbirds for a while, but I'll be looking for places to sing in this fall.
