16 Terms is bad, but not as bad as when its Barnie Frank that is the women filling the position.

No one has come out yet to say they will run for Barney's seat in Democrat circles that I know of. I'm assuming you think that whoever gets the Democrat's place on the ballot will probably win, and I think you're right. Who do you mean; which woman?

I got it when he called Barney Frank a woman.

After 32 years of bilking the Mass. and American citizens this queer-ball now has more than enough money to retire in comfort with his boyfriend.

This is double good news - first, this is a safe Dem. district.

Second, Frank (and Mario Cuomo) are both on the short list for nomination to SCOTUS during Obama's second term.

Definitly that kind of language is offensive. Kathy and Al should be ashamed of themselves.

I doubt they make those kinds of disparaging remarks about Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, Mary, or Newt Gingrich's lesbian sister.

I thought TV welcomed all regardless of race, ethnicity, political preference, or sexual persuasion, or it that one of those pesky federal laws they would like to abolish?

OPS. Could it be a Freudian slip?

Barney Frank is funny, ya gotta agree with that. He should have been kicked out when he said Freddie and Fanny were doing fine.

Was Junior kicked out when he said Iraq has WMD's?

There is so much childishness on this thread that it's taking all the fun out of commenting. Insults and off topic barbs seem to be the norm here. Hard to find a good conversation lately.

Just seems your lovefest cohorts aren't piling on as much as they used to. Did village golfer aka loveithere get suspended or just slink away to a corner?

You're right!!; no wonder this thread is so childish!! Almost all posts are by liberals!!!

Thanks for clearing up my confusion. A real public service.

Notice when dispicable comments are posted by conservatives that they are just ignored and the liberals are called childish. When the shoe is on the other foot, the comments are "HATEFUL" and all liberals are "HATEFILLED".

Obviously, Kathy and Al got these comments regarding Barney Frank from their Tea Party meetings.

Ah; didn't take much to change the jovial mood here. I don't notice anything of the kind. Sort of making it up as you go along my good buddy. There, there; no need to get all cranky.

PuhLEEZE....Lighten up!! Calling Barney Frank a "queer-ball" who has "bilked the MA and American citizens for 32 years" is hardly the "hate speech" or "hate crime" you would like to turn this into.

Many of us grew up in a time where the classic definition of "queer" meant "odd".....nothing more, nothing less. I can remember hearing in the late 50's and 60's, "the queerest thing happened today...." and I can remember the word "queer" being in my primary school reading books, meaning "odd".

Kathy and Al called Frank the equivalent of "oddball", and that, he IS! From what I've seen on Barney Frank on t.v., I don't even think HE would get all bent out of shape if you called him a "queer-ball". If there is one thing he is, it is "open" about his oddballness.

And by the way, "Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, Mary, or Newt Gingrich's lesbian sister" have not been in elected office for 32 years, at least CLOSE to the bilking of the MA and American taxpayer and rightful accountability to us.

I did not post the section in red and underlined. I only posted that the language was offensive and the posters should be ashamed of themselves.

I sincerely doubt if Kathy and Al meant to just call Mr. Frank an oddball. It was a homophobic remark. If Kathy and Al would get on line and say they meant it only as an oddball, I would retract that statement.

Barney Frank is a self-admitted homosexual. He is what he is!!

For a straight person to call a homosexual a "queer" is just as repugnant as a white person calling a black person the "N" word.

Haven't you studied that at your tea party meetings?

Cheap and gratuitous shot to take aim at the Tea Party. People have always had preconceived bigoted ideas. Kind of like your attack against the Tea Party.

Barney has lived a charmed life, you must admit.

I, among many, have to wonder if a Republican could have skated with no repercussions when it was shown an escort service was being run out of his basement which he swore he knew nothing about?

It's not what you say - it's how you say it.

After all, remember there used to be a popular show called "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy".

I assume you mean "is it offensive to talk about it? That being the case, the only people who take offense to the subject of gays are the pro-gays.

A little homophobic are you?

janmcn: I could be flip and tell you that there is no sense being homphobic unless you can act like one but I won't because I don't live my life that way.

But I will tell you that I do believe in the phrase " hate the sin love the sinner." Frankly from my personal view I find the act repugnant but that doesn't mean that I would want harm to come to anyone. I suspect like my wife and me some families may have relatives who are gay. While we are very cordial and supportive of these family members they should not expect that we will embrace their sexuality.

This is a very fundamental and personal issue and has nothing to do with being enlightened or having an epiphany. This isn't trendy. Finally for me this isn't a relgious issue. However I am finding at every turn liberals in one manner or another that are pushing this lifestyle from being one of an alternative to one of a preferred. I cannot tell you the number of TV sponsor I have written to explaining that I obviously did not reflect their demographic.

LOL - pro gays?

Like this married, Republican mayor of Medford, NJ who was outed by his "pro-gay" rent boy?
