There is a long time to go and many bumps in the road before it is decided. You surely can't be serious about trump!

I have always thought, and still do, that Palin is chomping at the bit to get in there and repeat those same 5 lines over and over in one non-stop 5-minute string, saying nothing.
She has her good points, but really gets on my nerves when she yammers in that high pitched voice.

Sarah Palin is doing enough for the country without being in the Whitehouse. I doubt she'd run, but she's definitely got my vote. and I am absolutely serious about Trump!

Want four more years of Obama? Get behind Palin or Trump.

What are you concerns about Trump? Maybe it is time to get someone in the Whitehouse who isn't bend on a career in politics and has already made a name for himself...Wouldn't that make you wonder if he might have more pure motives, like saving his country?

He is a brilliant self-promoter, who would make an excellent dictator, but president? Not so much! Way too many personal negatives, and he is on the record with way too many looney ideas and proposals, which I am not taking the time to link - but they're out there. Not to mention - can you see him putting his assets in a blind trust!!!!! Palin found the governorship of Alaska to be too poorly compensated to serve her full term, and the presidency doesn't pay as well as her "speeches".

The next president will be either Romney or Obama. The choice is yours.

Probably true.

I don't agree with the author's theory regarding Gingrich. I've been saying what he's saying about Romney for months, but he loses me when it comes to Gingrich. He probably also thought Rick Scott would lose Florida to GOP Establishment darling, endorsed by Jeb Bush, Charlie Crist.
Enough voters are going to gravitate to Gingrich's confident, knowledgeable and well defined positions to propel him to the end. I don't believe Newt's going to make a huge mistake at this time. That doesn't mean the left wing media won't make something up out of whole cloth, as they did Herman Cain, but Newt is smart enough to challenge that.

Although I still have my hopes with Romney, IF newt does not make a foo paw, he will likely be the nominee and I will have no problem with that. There are just too many with negative opinions of Mitt that are hoping for any alternative finalist.

I think many have to remember back in 2007/2008 when Obama was obvious by his lack of being front and center. One year from the election I do not believe there would have been many who would have bet on Obama being not only nominated but able to win the election.
Obama is testimony to stranger things have indeed happened!!!

Jimmy Carter was probably a much more improbable nominee.

Who would want Newt in The White House. His lack of morals (not just womanizing) but actually having his divorce crafted in his wife's hospital room when she was recovering from cancer surgery.
He actually stated about his wife that she was not pretty enough to be First Lady and that she had cancer as grounds for divorce.
Now, that is scum.

Clinton repeatedly committing adultry in the oval office was pretty scummy I thought. Although the lefties at the time said it was a private matter and didn't make any difference. I guess that only works for Democrats and leftists.

the difference is that Clinton was already in office and repubs did try the impeachment thing. Was Clinton wrong? Absolutely. But Newt is just as bad maybe worse and how can the religious right vote for a thrice divorced guy with at best a spotty record as speaker. Wasn't he fined $300,000 for something? Newts got lots of baggage and as much as some of you will blame the press he did all the things he is accused of. Look at his past and I see a real scumbag who is all that is wrong with the system.

Two things, first that is a snap shot at this time, this day and of the people who subscribe to it.
Second, I hope like hell it is wrong.
I wish they had a prediction on how they think Obama will do as president if he does get reelected.
Speaking of that you never answered me of what you think about this.
I asked you if he gets reelected do you hope it goes just as good as it has gone so far and are you fine with that?
Based on your post you are for Obama and think he has done a fine job and will do great as a second term president.

Why does everybody think that if you are a conservative you are a right wing religious person.
I guess if you are a liberal then you are a progressive or a socialist or any other generalization.
I don't think you can just assume that people that would vote for a conservative care about social issues as much as is portrayed.
I think the independent vote will be what carries Obama out of office.
THIS is MY Hope for Change.

Newt may well be able to capture the nomination despite his excess baggage because voters recognize that the remaining candidates, including the Democratic incumbent, whom even hsi own party really doesn't want, their bona fides can't come close to Newt's.
However, Newt has a tendency to self destruct and that may well be an occurrence. If he is going to self destruct I'd rather he do it now than as the Republican nominee.

His first wife certainly says that. As for his third wife"I dont want him to be President and I don't think he should be". Can't find a quote from the second wife yet.

His first wife was in the hospital room also during the infamous visit where Newt and his then wife had words? Wow!!; there were an awful lot of people in that room if you start to count how many have a story about it.

LOL - Wow !!! You MUST really be dizzy from all that spinning.
The only way the R's can make Obama's reelection more of a sure thing, would be to run The Quitta.

Just listening to what everyone is saying, and repeating it. It's certainly interesting.

Hold it.......hold everything....something is going on at the starting gate.......the crowd is on its feet.......it looks like Palin has saddled up.......folks......she looks really stunning in her red, white and blue silks..........and is that?.....no it can't be.......the great thoroughbred Jeb Bush looks ready to go if no one makes the finish line.......:0000000000luvmyhors What a race.......what a race!

I guess the difference is that Newt didn't commit perjury to a grand jury nor obstruct justice...He told the scummy truth.

As I recall what the left said was "does character really matter?" Well now it appears that we have shifted from "does it" to "it is all that matters". The problem is that this issue is being discussed at such length that it is overshadowing the issues

Yup, I'm one of 'em, and for what it's worth Romney is the only viable GOP candidate I would likely vote for right now. Huntsman would interest me based on what I have seen in the debates, but he is apparently not viable to those being polled.

He loves to find reason to call those he dislikes a name...as vile OR belive it or not..cutsey as he can come up with. Says quite a bit about a mans character in my opinion !!

Don't you folks remember this? Newtie was pretty much forced to leave office because of his major ethical problems AND he was having an affair while the repubs were gearing up for the impeachment? They KNEW it would come out that the newt was doing exactly what clinton was doing and that just would not do...
I do not remember a lot of the things newt said while speaker, but I do remember laughing a lot. One of the best had to do with giraffes and women/hunters? Anyone remember that and can you remind me of what he said. I could use another good laugh.
I am ready to start a newtie implosion pool. My bet is that it will be before the end of the month.

Newt will debate on: ITS BEEN FOUR YEARS AND LOOK WHERE WERE AT NOW. And that will bring the Independents over the fence.

If today's polls are any indication, Gov Romney could be finished by the end of next month. I don't see how he loses four in a row and remains viable. I for one can't wait for my ballot to come in the mail, so I can cast my vote for Speaker Gingrich. I just hope I don't wet my pants from laughing so much. I hope I'm wrong and this circus goes on right up until the convention. Signing off as a democrat for Gingrich.
PS: If Romney does lose, he can go back to MA and start running again for President in 2016.
