We are from north Florida and plan a visit to The Villages. Are there any communities that permit homes with attached RV garages.

Is there a Methodist Church in the Villages?

We are interested in locating in the Villages and would like to know more.

The Village of Harmswood has a few RV garages, but that is the only Villages that I know...

We have a fantastic Methodist church here in The Villages. Www.newcovenantumc-FL.org
It is behind Crispers off 466 on County Rd 101. It is golf cart accessible and has a golf car parking lot behind the church.

We had a motor home when we moved here. At first we kept it at a place on the corner of 466 and 301. Forgot the name. The Villages has RV storage off of Rolling Acres. Must call the Security people to be put on the list. This is very nice. The little card that gets you in gates is the same card that will give you access. Hope this helps.

I don't think any of the homes in The Villages have or would allow RV garages. Maybe Harmswood does but those are all huge lots and premier homes with very premier prices.

I know a few people with RVs and they store them at the outdoor facility just outside The Villages on 301 and 466.

There are a few RV garages in the designer areas built in the mid 1990's. The only way you will get one is to put your name in with a realitor to watch for one being listed for sale or simply find the ones that exist and leave your name with the owner. The few I know about that changed hands either were sold privately or were sold within a day .
I don't think any more are allowed to be built anywhere.

Actually The Villages has two RV storage lots. One, as mentioned by a previous poster, is off Rolling Acres behind the wood working shop and Community Gardens. The other is off El Camino Real between the villages of Santiago and Santa Domingo on the opposite side of the road. Villagers who have rented space in either of these lots have access with their gate card fro 6 AM through 10 PM 7 days a week. I believe that Community Watch is no longer in charge of this service and the duty now falls with the Customer Service Center at 3201 Wedgewood Lane (352-753-4508). The RV Storage lots are paved, fenced and monitored by camera and Community Watch. The charge for a large Class A motor home is roughly $43 a month plus $3 tax. You may have to put your name on a waiting list in order to get a space.
