I am looking for recommendations for golf lesson instructor for a couple who has played for over 10 yrs but is still interested in learning and will practice. Is there someone you recommend and why? We tried an instructor in the area a few years ago and was disappointed in the quality.

I've been happy with Bob Intrieri at the Golf Academy. He is now at Sarasota range. He has lots of experience. What I liked is that he works with the swing you have, rather than teaching one swing theory. I've been to teachers that emphasize "Stack and Tilt" or other theories. Bob gives drills to work on between lessons and handouts detailing that lesson's points.

I like Joey HiDock at the Golf Academy. I was pleased to see in last months Golf Digest that Joey was in the top 35 instructors in Florida based on Golf Digest.

Choose who you are most comfortable but I would definitely start with a visit to the Golf Academy and Palmer Legends. Most of their instructors are former or current PGA members.

Well i have had so many instructors on and off campus that I forgot their names. Actually it was the other way around they ask me to forget their name that was just before they said "no instructor on god's green earth can...........

Actually one of the best was Mike at TreeTop as the previous poster said.

Just stay away from the instructors that tell you you can tee up anywhere on the golf course.
