We are looking to have some valuable paintings framed. Does anyone have any experience with local stores in the area that are reasonable and do quality work that they would recommend?

I hate to pay the arm and leg that they expect, even with half off and 60% off. I just had a picture of a golf course framed for Sweetie for Christmas...(DON'T TELL HIM) and I was shocked at the price for a very simple one mat frame with glass. I always am. I am very tight.
Michaels and Joanns have framing services. I have also heard that there is a framer at Markets of Marion. You have valuable things, I don't, so perhaps you could find something in Orlando or Ocala? Someone will know on this forum. Good luck...and post a picture please so we can enjoy the end result.
Kind wishes,
Gracie.

Even with Jo-ann's 60% off coupon, the price is very high, like Gracie said. After getting a quote from them we took a large print to Universal Frames at Market of Marion and got three mats instead of two for much less money. They also have a shop in Eustis. The number I have for them there is 352-357-8188.
Our art isn't really valuable. For fine art you may want to visit Kings Gallery in Spanish Springs.
