Are you referring to your response or the story-line as "predictable"?

Only teasing. I think most of us understand your comment.

Finally got to see this flick. Yeah it was "predicable" cause I already had been told it had a happy ending but good none the less. I can take blood and guts and murder but could not watch the abuse of the horses. Closed my eyes and just could not look at it. So glad it had good ending or else I might have not been able to get over it.

IMHO : Should have be called "BORE HORSE" Very predictable and too drawn out for my taste. The hokey meeting in the middle of the battlefield was the last straw. D-

For a real war movie, go see RED TAILS. A+ Great story line, acting, and spectactular dog fight scenes.

I agree with the last poster. The story was long and drawn out, predictable and not up to the standards of Spielberg. I was, however able to catch up on my sleep.

I was disappointed in it. I read a review recently that I believe got it perfectly - the story was unimaginitive but the horses are magnificent. There is a story in today's New York Times about the lead horse playing Joey (there were 14 horses used in the film). The same horse was used in Seabiscuit.

Booring gimicky, slow, predictable, hokey etc. If I hadn't fallen asleep , I would have walked out.

Again my theory is that the volumn of advertising for a flic is negatively correlated to the quality of the show IMHO

This wasn't a "war" movie, it was a "horse" movie. Akin to the proverbial "chick flick" but with blood and guts. I enoyed it none the less.At least Jennifer Aniston wasn't in it!!!

The hubby and I simply loved it. It was not about war but about a love affair between a boy and his horse. Keep in mind that this was WWI so the war scenes were very different than we are used to. I too felt very sorry for the horses but it was still a feel good movie and we can use more of them IMHO.
