Can anyone recommend a good dentist for implants?
Bushnell Family Dentistry... They have done 2 for me. They do everything..pull the tooth, place the implant and crown it 6 months later. Before I had to go to 3 different dentists....

Where are they located? How much were you charged?

Adam Still DDS at Laural Manor...for your referral. He'll then refer you to Dr. Caylor (also in Laural Manor) whose an oral surgeon (he's excellant btw). Cost...can't remember exactly. They're pricey no matter how you look at it so you'll want an excellant doctor to do them!! You could call and ask for a "ballpark" figure before you make the appointment(s).

Went to Dr. Ta at Lake Quality Dental for two implants and the cost was $6,900.00. Had a bad experience with Dr. Caylor and would not recommend him.

We were impressed with Dr. Caylor....no problems at all with him! He's thorough and professional as well. I'd had implants done up north as well so in comparison to that he was equal. Everyone's experiences are individual...even with regular dentists. But word of mouth is one of the best advertisements PLUS investigatin online (which I also did with him).

After many years of research and watching the medical tourism industry evolve, I finally went to Cost Rica for complete dental rehab; including 7 implants and several new crowns. I stand atop the flagpole and enthusiastically recommend this trip to anyone. Phenomenal service and care, very experienced ... and so affordable that it makes you take notice of the arrogant monopoly that dominates the dental profession in the U.S.

Can you share with us what it would have cost in the States and what you paid in Costa Rica.
I know someone that went to South Korea to have dental done and he raved about the experience. I believe the US quote was $20K and his cost was less than half and that price included all of his travel expenses.

Sure Dan,
16 porcelan crowns over titanium posts
7 implants
$9,700 total which included two trips 6 months apart
Airfare from Orlando $440 including int'l fees
Efficiency apt for 2 weeks $870
I was amazed. The clinic is a father/son practice with lab on premises which speeds things up nicely. The father does the implants (over 9,000 of them) and the son does the rest. Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,
ooops make that 8 impants, not 7. Seven were "immediate loads" and one was the traditional two-stage.

Hi Dan,
Not sure if this posted before, but here is the info again:
8 implants - seven are immediate load and one is traditional 2-stage
16 porcelan crowns over titanium posts
x-rays, one extraction and some miscellaneous work
$9,700 total for everything.
This took place during two visits. First one was for 5 days, second one for 7 business days. Add apprx. $850 for two rt from Orlando and $876 for the efficiency apartment .
Did I say that this is a father/son clinic with lab on premises which speeds things up alot?
The father does the implants (over 9,00 so far) and son does the rest. Hope this helps.
