Need some help here Please!
We have a new Lilac and in from the Garage entrance, Across from the Washer and Dryer is a pretty large empty storage room. Ielected to not put a bathroom there as it is a nice large space.
Has anyone in TV found some cool ideas as what to so with that space. I was figuring on a real nice Pantry for Ruth with maybe some counter space There is a window on one side.
Any ideas and better yet contractors that helped design and build it?
Appreciate your feedback or pics or drawings.

I have seen a number of people put built-in cabinets/desk and shelving there. Makes it a small office or computer room

I have an idea! (no jokes please)
Have a table built in so she has a place to fold clothes and can use as a sewing table! Keep the machine below the table until needed.
I think most of the ladies need the sewing machine to make their curtains and valences etc. Most of us have no nice place to do this!
You could also build some shelves above it for storage!
*slapping hands together* NEXT!

I would probably use it to put our small upright freezer, put a small "catch all" desk to put keys, mail etc and then hand some hooks for jackets.

Angie, I totally lost all respect for you. You sew??? Well...if that's the case, I cook! Horrors!
I have that same area........as I think the Lily and Iris have the same floor plan......and I am thinking of putting a couple of double ovens out there...maybe 3 or 4. :icon_wink:
Okay....seriously, I had a guy come last week and I told him I'd like some high countertops out there...and cabinets for storage as well. He is going to give me a quote on enclosing the lanai and adding countops and cabinets in that laundry room area.

Wow helped by a Dog and a Fox! How cool is that!
Swimdog please lt me know how it works out for you and who did the job.
I can help with Car Concerns however looking at a empty room is not a good trait of mine or Ruthie's.
Brrrrrrrrrr -2 here right now.

Yep....beware the Fox and the dawg...or they'll get the coyote police out! Generally the Fox copies the dawg....
Absolutely...will keep you posted. Stay warm up there in snow country. :cold::cold::cold:

Here's what my husband did with our little space using prefab cabinets from Home Depot. The wall cabinets store canned goods, soft drinks and all kinds of stuff. The corner desk has room for a laptop computer.

Thanks, ladies! While we're at it and although it's not relevant, here's a pic of the other side of the room. He moved the mop sink to the garage, and built a broom, vacuum and storage closet in its place. Now we're both happy that I can hide these things and he can make a mess in the garage sink.

Angie, we bought what Home Depot called "ready to assemble" but they have since dropped that line. However, it looks like you can order assembled cabinets and put together a grouping that would fit your needs. We only used 12" deep wall cabinets so we could have storage on both sides of the narrow room.

Thanks for the pics. We are building a Lily and I picked that house just so I would have a storage area for my vac. broom etc and place for the cat box and some storage for crockpots etc. I know hubby can put in new cabs and get a plumber to move mop sink. Love that idea. Thanks again!:coolsmiley:

Hello,
I can't make up my mind whether to get the Iris or the Lilac. We bought a lot in Sannibel and like the idea of having that extra space in both models and seeing the storage cabinets. It is a great idea!! Thanks
