Mitt Romney given name is Willard Mitt Romney his first name was given to him by his father George because of his good friend J Willard Marriott. Until 1968 if I'm correct all candidates for President used their first names. Mit has never used his first name in his political career. Just a question and wondering why.

When very young, he showed a preference for the name Mitt, and it stuck.

Not sure of the significance !!
