Just wanted to check back in on this (now missing) thread to see how things were progressing with the newest problem and "POOF" it's gone. The last I knew there were embedded thread ads that were causing the "An Add On for this site has failed to run" error popup in IE9 on the TOTV forum. Anyway, the problem seems to have gone away.

If I didn't know better, it's starting to look like we aren't allowed to point out problems and discuss them without the threads being closed or just disappearing.

Just saying...

i think it's my fault - i went and looked at the source code and posted about it and then it went 'poof'!

If only WE had that power. Nah, you didn't do it!

oh well..............When you found the page in your history, you pulled the page out of the cashe (temporary files) stored on your own computer and not from TOTV's server. When you tried to go to page 2 your browser was then trying to communicate with the TOTV server and not your local computer. The reason you got the message is probably because the files of that thread are closed or otherwise locked and it's not that your particular permissions were withdrawn. It would have happened to any of us had we also tried going through our history like you did.

Admin closed the thread.

Admin closed the thread.

No, I believe they deleted the thread. If it were just closed you'd be able to find and read it, just not continue to post on it. I go to my statistics file and my posts for that thread are not there.

thanx for the explanation, skyguy - i figured it had something to do with the admin shutting it down. just thought it was strange that they took down page two but not page one! made me chuckle!

also thought is was strange that we were no longer allowed/permitted to post about the board behavior interaction with our browsers/computers. guess that was not explicitly described in the terms of service we all recently agreed to. my bad.

That is odd.

I am confused. All I did was click on New Posts and I was able to get to page 2.

Xavier, I just went to my previous posts and found the original thread regarding the website anomolies. Apparently, it was not deleted after all. I should have checked it when you mentioned it earlier.
