We just returned from our visit to TV, lot reservation and floor plan in hand! If all goes well,we will be building a Sunflower on Mayflower ... We are so excited and want to sell here tomorrow. (it was 30 degrees warmer there then in Kennesaw). Would love to get to know neighbors and be ready for the lifestyle when we are all there! We checked out the area, went down to Brownsville, had lunch at Bonifay, NYE at Katie Bells ... Tried to get it all in... Fun
If you are Linda from Katie Bells NYE thanks for all the information

I have a friend who is going to be a Charlotte in March. I will tell her about this thread. It is such a new village--I was there today and it looks wonderful! Good luck!

You just might be the first poster for Village of Charlotte, but I'm sure as it starts ramping up there will be more posters!
How exciting for you! Sunflower is a lovely home! I LOVE the floorplan! What lot did you secure?

"I coulda been a contenda!".....could have been the first Charlotte poster when I posted 'bout a month ago....but at the time I thought I was Sanibel (duh!!) so I disqualified myself, I'd say.
Closing on an Iris on Jan 27....Yarborough Way....if I get my act together! Should all come together now that I know which Village.....it's a start.

Funny thing is, even though it is new, there were few lots deep enough if we decide to bump the front and the lanai (which I think we will) It is lot 49, 3376 Mayflower Loop.
So looking forward to it - all of you are great support - thanks

It is in the designer part - circles through pretty much the middle of the neighborhood. I do not see Yarborough on my map but I do not have the whole village.
Glad to know there will be another Yankee there!!! We are originally from Connecticut.
Good luck with your move and enjoy the beeter weather down there!!

We have put a down payment /reserved a lot in the Village of Charlotte. We viewed it over Xmas vacation ... looked like a nice piece of dirt! A home already going up next to us.
Where we are located is not yet on any maps that we can find, but the street is Enisgrove Way. We probably won't build for a few months but we are excited to leave the cold of the north next winter.
Hope to meet everybody in the neighborhood.

Anything being built on Mayflower? On good days here (Atlanta) I get tempted to drive down and check it out ... So anxious to get ours started. I noticed on TV website that the homes available (designer lots) are on the east side, nothing shown on the west...Can it be sold out into a month? Sure wish we had a third of the traffic in this active adult community weare in!

OK Folks..... I have been posting for months looking for people who would be living in Charlotte. We bought the lot in Nov. Not that I want to brag, but we were the first ones to live in the Village of Charlotte on Belcherry Loop, I think. We closed on our house on Jan 18. We moved in on Jan 19... and were all alone on Belcherry Loop. The only house there. We are still the only ones on the street so far. There are a few being built. We have an Iris and could not wait for neighbors to come. I am looking so forward for everyone to move in. We are from CT. Actually, we are back in CT right now. We had to go back cuz' I need a hip replacement and was miserable with pain. So we will be back as soon as I recuperate. I was so sad to leave as we are not completely furnished yet. We are going to be there full time. Hurry and move in. Look forward to meeting everyone soon!

Thanks, we need all the luck we can get. Actually we're going to consider a lot that backs up to a CYV wall. It seems lot's of people wait for new villages to open so they can get the best lots available. Sometimes half the lots can be sold within the first hour. One has to be alert and crafty I guess. Omg, as the kids say! We are lot 49 looks like to your left looking at the houses. We are planning a Sunflower with a bumped out front bedroom and lanai. Our garage, by the way will be to the left of the home, away from you.
Of course, it all is depending on the sale here in GA. Building before selling here is something we think about oncei nawhile, but i live here and Joe is on a contract in Arlington,VA until towards the end of the year ... Three places would bedifficult!
We are originally from CT and had 7 years in CA. I cannot wait to get out of GA and start to have some fun!

Yankee Quilter-We are Nancy and Phil Brown in Presque Isle, MI, near the tip of the first finger of the Mitten. Sounds like you have been through the first step of placing a deposit on the lot and receiving a preliminary estimate? We went ahead with the second step and construction has begun. If you can visit the last two weeks on May or in June, we'll be there and would love to meet you! By the way, our driveway is on the right as you face the house, away from you too. Can't wait to get there, dine at Bonifay, and hang out at Paddock Square in Brownwood. Heard in the third edition of the Brownwood update that it will be finished around September.-Regards, Nancy and Phil

Your message was so welcomed! Joe and I are so looking forward to the move and meeting new people and "living the life". We have been down twice, Labor Day weekend and right after Christmas and are hooked! I think I look at the floorplan at least once a week! I am anxious to hear how things go with you and your building and what you see and hear when you move down. We originally wanted an Iris but due to lot size had to go with a Lily on lot 37 on Dalkieth; when we met with our sales rep this time he told us they just started a stretch option on the bedroom side if the Iris; so by stretching the garage and the bedrooms we got the Iris. I am sooooo excited:MOJE_whot: we close here in Smyrna in 13 days and it is TV here we come. We will be renting in Duval until the house is built but will be over there regularly. Well, Charlotte and our Sunflower to be is the topic of most of our conversations and so, finally, I got serious and bought a St. Joseph Statue! I used one, and said the parayer daily years ago when we moved here in a down market and got a great buyer! Had a hard time finding:pray: one (except on line) but it will be buried with sincere trust tonight and .... hope can say here we come soon.
BTW - price low and condition and location are great. I am not asking St. Joseph for a miracle!!!!

Hi all,
Bob & Tracy from Bermuda building an Ivy on Beeber Ct. (husband wants to petition to change the street name, he's not fond of the teen idol!). We finalize in June and hope to finish by the Fall.
I'm originally from Va. and Bob's family have been on the "rock" for 300 odd years. It'll be difficult for him but with some golf and tennis buddies, he will quickly adapt.
Look forward to joining you all in the neighborhood.

We just got back from signing the build contract for an Iris on Mayflower Loop and leaving TV felt more like leaving home than going home to Maryland. Settlement will be in late June and we're planning a slow, year-long transition to paradise. Our original lot selection was in Sanibel, but that lot was just a tad too sloped for an old dawg with metal knees. So we're delighted with a flatter piece of land in Charlotte and looking forward to meeting our new neighbors.

We don't look at this very often so we won't respond very timely. Construction is nuts, but the windstorm a week ago was insane. We've been playing golf (level I & II courses) and attending lots of social events.
Would like to see a social for The Charlotte neighborhood. Sanibel has a group. I wonder if Captia would assist?
Does anyone know if you can set this blog up to notify me (e-mail) when someone responds to a thread? Otherwise you have to keep looking.

Ebsmom,
Welcome to Yarborough Way. Diana and I will be closing on 6/19 so we know how excited you are.
Looks like Yarborough Way is a "HOT" street. I just did a count on the number of homes still available this morning, about 20 left out of about 54 homesites. They are going fast.

Just put a downpayment on a lot in Charlotte on Belcherry. Not sure when we can start the design process for a cottage. Don't know when we could move there as selling our home in NJ may be a challenge.
Hi, We just bought on Belcherry, we sign on July 30th. We may be neighbor's, Welcome.....

Hi , We just bought on Belcherry, we sign papers July 30th. We live in Sumerhill (in the Villages) we have been here for 6 months, living in a villa , my husband wanted a 2 1/2 car garage so here we go again , we are moving..
I love it here and would not be moving but as you know when husbands have more than 1 car and a golf cart the other car has to sit outside, And no he would not sell the car . I look forward to meeting my new neighbor's and hope we can start a social club as it is a lot of fun getting together... .
See you soon.:2excited: ( We are from Michigan )

We closed in June in Charlotte! Bought the lot in April among an open field. Settled in June and 3/4 of houses in the area were built. Had the pool all to ourself! Charlotte is the next "Land of Plesant Living".

We recently put a deposit on a lot on Mayberry. The soonest we could get an appointment with the design team is in October, and we are planning on building a Lily. So excited to see a post from other prospective Charlotte residents. We recently sold our home in Illinois and this is our first summer down here full time.
