Has anyone tried to reach Foremost Carts in recent weeks? I set up a cart rental with them for April and have been trying to reach them to rent a cart in March. It's been a week and I have had no response. Jim Followell has no carts available for the two weeks I need a cart. Can anyone here recommend other rental companies who are great to do business with? We loved Matt and Tammy at Foremost and hope they are OK......I HAVE reserved a cart with The Villages but will only take it as a last resort.

Try Grandma & Grandpa's. Problem is most carts are rented this time of year. Hope you don't get stuck with the Villages' cart.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Perhaps I will have some luck with one of them! I just put in a call to Matt and Tammy at Foremost. I'll see if they return my call. With no response to my e-mail of a week ago I am getting a little concerned about their customer service (which has always been great until recently). This IS such a busy time of year for cart rentals and I can always fall back on The Villages if I have to.

We've used Don's Golf Carts (352-326-2327) and were very happy with the selection and service.

I used Matt and Tammy the first time I rented, but ran into the same problem the next time I tried to contact them. No answer and their voice mailbox was full!

It isn't a very good way to operate a business. I really like them, too, and they had nice carts. The do NO have a store anymore which means that we HAVE to be able to reach them by phone or e-mail. Oh well, I'll keep checking, and I'll look into calling some of the other rental companies suggested here on TOTV. I DO have The Villages reserved as backups! I can run faster than those carts go!

scott and vicky are villages residents and have always responded to any calls we have placed to them...it might have been later in the evening - but we always got our call back! they are located up on hgwy 441 but offer free delivery and pick-up. and their carts move!

Ok,,,question...we are on the LS plan.. I already figured our cart would be slow,,etc.
I have quest from Naples coming to visit us and our daughters after that.....i have reserved carts thru TV...Should i change my reservations? The golf cart place in SL seems pretty good from what i can tell. What is your opinion?

I agree that The Villages is a good place to rent a cart. They are stripped down with no side curtains, although I have heard that you can get those for more $$. They ARE slow but at least you will have carts for your guests. DON'T change your reservations unless you line up other carts somewhere. This is a very busy time here, over these next 3 or 4 months, and lots of folks will not get carts for their guests if they waited too long to reserve them. The carts we have been renting from outside of The Villages come pretty well loaded and are much faster. Right now, like you, I am just happy to have carts reserved. The one thing our guests of all ages love, above everything else there is to do here, is to ride all over in a golf cart. Enjoy your guests. Just poke along and look at all of the pretty scenery!

I had to chuckle when I read your comment that you can run faster than the carts from The Villages can go.
What is the top speed for a cart rented from The Villages?

I am not sure if The Villages golf carts even go the maximum allowed speed of 19-20 mph! They seemed to be governed down lower than that and it's probably due to liability concerns. Perhaps a slower cart is not a bad thing, given that many of these carts are rented to folks new to The Villages and not familiar with the trails, tunnels, etc.
