Beware of concoctions on the menu that are just called "Shakes". (Talking about you, Mickey and King.)

Johnny Rockets Chocolate Peanut butter love 'em but then I pay for it....not talking money.....they are soooooo rich...
Has anyone tried the BOSTON MALT(or shake) at Ollies'?
It's a malt of your flavor choice with a sundae in it, again your favorite flavor.

I hadn't had a milkshake in over 3 years, so after this thread of conversation, I thought I should try Steak n' Shake's milkshake. Ordered peanut butter with chocolate ice cream base... it was all right. Nothing that would make me run back before another 3 years have gone by.

I was gonna check it out. Glad you did it so I didn't have to.
Kinda glad. Maybe I will have to check out the double malt as a public service.

The last time I was in Steak & Shake (a few weeks ago) I had a white chocolate shake. It was excellent.

I have tried desperately to avoid this thread simply because I don't want a supernatural force to latch onto my nostrols and float me all the way up to Steak & Shake just to try their shake. Besides, I've had Mickey D's shakes and I find them perfectly creamy and tasty. Now, I'm not saying that Steak & Shake is not better, I'm just saying that the few times I've had a shake in or around TV it's been Mickey D's., and being how their more than satisfying to me, I can't see being dragged away from my own neighborhood near Colony to go all the way to S&B to find that it's not that much better that it's worth it. Maybe someday when I have an urge for steak, but for now I'll stick with Mickey D's for my rare treat of a shake!

What difference does the shakes make if they both contain the same basic ingredients? Don't forget, I didn't say that MD's is necessarily better, just more than adequate and convenient for me!

From the web: The ingredients of a McDonald's milkshake are:
Whole milk, sucrose, cream, nonfat milk solids, corn syrup solids, mono and diglycerides, guar gum, imitation vanilla flavor, carrageenan, cellulose gum, vitamin A palmitate.

YOU ARE kidding right....milk shake vs a woman's chest? How inappropriate
Have you lost sight on reality? real vs fake? MCD's stuff is all full of "stuff" NOT real...... GET realThanks for you attacks! Actually, I wasn't directly comparing a milk shake to a woman's chest nor was I trying to. I was simply making a comparative point in a somewhat humorous way on your statement that you obviously didn't get or why I did it! So I'll spell it out for you.
When you said "Mickey D's shkes are fakes," you came across to me as using your opinion in a direct and rude way of attacking my opinion. Even if it wasn't directed at me I would have still thought it was a tactless way of expressing your opinion, but wouldn't have responded since you are entitled to your opinion, but just not at someone else's expense! So I used what I thought was humor instead of being rude in return to let you know I didn't appreciate what you did.
Should I have used the same tactic you used to respond back to you? No! Absolutely not! That's not my way of doing things as anyone who really knows me may well realize. Anyway, in the future I'll try to remember not to bother communicating directly with you and I ask you for the same favor in return!

I have two favorite places for Milk Shakes. The first one is Steak and Shake for their Strawberry Milk Shake. However, if you really want to taste more of the real Strawberry flavor, Sonic makes a really good one. You can't go wrong with either one.

I've rarely downplayed any place I've had food from, but I tried Steak and Shakes once. ONCE! The shake was great, but the burgers? Forget it! They were eatable, but I don't think I've ever had burgers that I've liked less! I'd describe them, but I actually found them forgettable... and I love burgers, not like Wimpy does, but I do! As I've stated before though... don't just take my opinion about them... try them and decide for yourself sometime.

Were there no Steak-n-Shakes in your corner of Ohio? We had them in Toledo when I lived there. Don't know what I'll do once we're permanently down south with one near-by. I'll probably weigh 600 pounds. Love S&S!!
