This video was posted on www.thevillages.com a few days ago -- The Building of Brownwood Episode 1. Very interesting video, about 23 minutes long. According to the 2 people who spoke towards the beginning of the video, the scheduled date for Brownwood to open is end of summer 2013. I don't know if that date is for all of Brownwood as references were made to Phase 1. So maybe summer of 2013 refers to the opening of Phase 1, and Phase 2 at a later date? Of course summer 2013 date could change. According to the video, The Barnstorm movie theater will have 8 screens and will house 2,000 customers.
According to the the TV web site, updates on the progress of Brownwood will be posted monthly. It's good to know that all of those construction workers working on Brownwood are bringing home paychecks for their families especially in these times.
