LOONIES AND TOONIES IS A CLUB FOR CANADIAN SNOWBIRDS
We will kick off the new year with a very special evening - January 11, 2012 - 6:30 PM - La Hacienda - Carmen Miranda Room. Loonies and Toonies is a great new club and already has a huge membership of approximately 500 members.
Our very special guest speaker will be Mr. Greg Laufersky, Sales Team Manager, Properties of The Villages. Mr. Laufersky will present to us "The Villages - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow - From Brownswood, Michigan to Brownswood Town Square, The Villages, Florida". Greg, who was a close personal friend of the Morse family in Michigan, moved here with them a couple of decades ago and has worked in sales for The Villages since that time and has witnessed the emergence of Florida's Friendliest Hometown as it grew from the original Orange Blossom Village created by Harold Schwartz to the absolutely amazing place in which we all chose to spend parts of or our entire winter. He will share with us the history, the current position and what the future holds for The Villages.
We also have with us, back by popular demand, the unique musical talents of Just Mike - he had us dancing until closing this past month and we expect nothing less this time around.
We will open the registration desk at 6 pm and would like all those not yet registered for 2012 to do so if you are attending - membership is $ 5 per person.
We will also have sign up for our 3 March events:
1) Tampa Bay - Ottawa Hockey Game March 6
2) Our 2nd annual Golf Tournament March 14
3) Our Blue Jays Spring Training game - late March/early April.
