Today is the first of three Friday the 13th's this year. The other two are in April and July. What a coincidence.

Has Friday the 13th held any significance for you?

Does anyone look forward to the horror movies they show on television?

I got nailed for drag racing on a public highway when I was 17 on a Friday the 13th. Court appearance, major fine, lost my license, already exorbitant insurance rates went beyond the stratosphere, etc.....to say nothing of the experience of having to face my father. Overall, NOT a pleasant event, to be sure!

Friday the 13ths always make me pucker.

Bill :)

I met my wife at her High School's Halloween dance on a Friday the 13th. That was about 47 years ago and was the best thing that ever happened to me! http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e303/MySpotToo/EmoteCuddle.gif

We always claim that 13 is our lucy number. We got engaged on the 13th and married on the 13th. Neither one was on Friday though.

This particular Friday the 13th is my son's 41'st birthday. I've always considered 13 to be one of my lucky numbers... ;)

I have a cousin who was born on Friday the 13th. That always amused me because my aunt (his mother) was the only truly superstitious person I've ever known.

A friend of mine in Waterbury, CT called this morning at 7:30 AM to inform me that he and his wife went to a movie last night and they were robbed of a couple of laptops. Happened around 9 PM.

They call it a "smash and grab" as they broke it through the back door and were in the house 5 or 10 minutes. Ploice seemed to think it was kids looking for money to buy drugs. His dog who always barks when he is on the phone ran up to the bedroom and hide. Go figure.

I guess Friday the 13th will be memorable for him and his wife. :(

Yesterday was not a good day for Costa Cruise lines as The Costa Concodia sank off the coast of Italy.
