Just thought I'd throw out this info...I just found that the Orlando Sentinel is offering a deal on getting their paper Wednesday-Sunday.....5 papers a week, (NOT Monday and Tuesday) for only $20.00 for a WHOLE YEAR. That is less then 8 cents a day for their paper delivered.
They are doing this mainly to entice couponers, as these are the main days they put coupons in the paper. At this price some couponers are actually getting up to 4 subscriptions (the limit) just to get the coupons. I just think it is a pretty good deal to get their paper at a very good price. I wish it was for the 7 days, but for 39 cents a week I'll take it.
It is for new subscribers, and you cannot cancel your existing subscription to do this...details are on their website.
I'm not soliciting at all......just thought I'd tell others when I see a good deal.
This ends in a few days, so I thought I'd pass it on.

I have been getting the Orlando Sentinel for the past 10 years. I like the paper although they are starting to thin it down some.
Sounds like a very good deal. I am a regular subscriber and my rate is $.39 a paper for 7 days a week.

Perhaps I should have posted the link for this...here it is;

If you do not mind not getting Monday and Tuesday, it is a good deal, even for snowbirds!

For TV, it covers only Lake county.

Since my delivery person is out of Fruitland Park, it might even include the Marion county area of TV also. Does not hurt to check.

I emailed and asked the question about their special offer and whether it could apply to residents of The Villages who live in Marion County and made a suggestion that all of The Villages be included. I received the following.
We do deliver to Marion and Sumter but only in the villages.

I will be signing up right after I finish this post.

They have been offering that same deal for a number of years. We did subscribe to the W-S 5 years ago. Good reminder.
Bombero, thank you for the info. I just placed my order.

Thanks FF ... if enough Villagers were made aware of this offer and took advantage of it it might encourage the Sentinel to cover the news from TV and our county with more detail and objectivity. Maybe the Sentinel could place an ad in The Sun! Thanks again, very thoughtful of you to share this with us.

I think it is a democrat paper.
It is a newspaper. Read what you want and don't read what you don't want.
Go for the news and not the oped articles.
Besides they have lots of good comics.

That made me laugh.....thank you.
I'm glad this post went over well. I was not sure if I should post it, I did not want it to look like I was "pushing" anything. I like to save a buck as much as the next person, and just am trying to be a good steward of all that we have.
I like the saying, "It's not what you make, it's what you keep". It's deals like these that allow me to buy quality things that in the end seem to save me money long term.
