Need help finding the air gun range on The Villages map. Has anyone tried the beginners training? My nickname as a kid was dead eye because I could not hit anything with a BB gun. Going to try to make the 9AM session tomorrow.

I found this information. I hope someone can confirm it is accurate. Welcome to ToTV. Have fun with the air gun!
"The Rio Grande Air Gun Range is located by Chula Vista Recreation Center. The range is open Monday thru Wednesday from 9-11am. The Villages Air Gun Club holds meetings and competitions at the range on Thursdays and Fridays through much of the year. The club holds an annual banquet for members who participate in at least 10 competitions each year. The club peaks at about 130 members during the winter months and newcomers are always welcome. The recreation department provides equipment that is very high quality, typically without recoil and the guns are very quiet. The head of the Air Gun Club, can be reached at 352-205-8243."

EDIT: I attempted to post the address of the link to the information, but it appears that ToTV blocked the addie.

The range is quite a bit west of Chula Vista on Rio Grande. It's between Delmar and Lisbon on the south side adjacent to the Rio Grande Family swimming pool.
Carguys, the guys at the rifle range can set you in the right direction for purchasing a rifle/gun. Some of them may have discounts you can use. My grandsons went there during the camp and one of the instructors, our neighbor, gave them good advice on purchasing one.

It is behind the mail stop to the left of the Rio Grande pool. They have pistols and rifles that you can use for a test run. I think that is on Mondays at 9 AM.

Pellet guns only! BBs are round and ricochet. I have been there with my cousin who is a member. Nice and quiet on non competition days in the summer. Unfortunately I am a recoil junkie so I go to a gun range and shoot regular guns. ;)

Wish we had a small rifle and pistol range. I'm sure they are near by the Villages.

Locate the Rio Grande pool on your map. It is in the same area.

I still have my Red Ryder from the early 1950's (and still have both eyes!). It's (and me) worn from use and age. Time to rebuild it and start again. I'm gonna love this 2nd childhood.

Air gun range behind mail drop at Rio Grande pool. Had a great time. The members of the Air Gun Club were very generous of their time and guns helping us "newbies"
