Well the thieves can't get very far as most streets have 20mph speed limits which are heavily guarded by the local police:sad:

The police should be on the lookout for a golf cart.

Odd that they would steal a cart from a house when they could drive one away from a rec center parking lot with no one being the least concerned.

Was this one stolen from an open garage with the keys in the cart, too?

Please let us know when you find out more i.e. was it stolen from their property/garage or shopping area etc? This is pretty serious stuff. Pretty fast easy money for the loser crooks.

It probably is the same one. An email was sent out in Tamarind Grove after the theft appeared on this board.

Well, that robbery mystery was cleared up in a hurry.

Just like Abe Lincoln said, "you can't believe everything you read on the Internet."

Maybe we should take a pic of our carts and have them handy if they get stolen?

Oh Boy are you in trouble now. You know quite well that Al Gore invented the internet. :1rotfl: Abe only helped in putting up the phone lines for dial up service.

Thank you handyman for letting us know. Even if it is the same one that was discussed last week it doesn't mean that everyone logging in today saw the earlier thread.

But there was only one stolen recently, not ANOTHER one.

But what happened to the golf cart that was on its side at the wooden bridge. That post some many people where talking about widening the bridge and how unsafe that area can be. I never had any problems there.Still think kids joyriding caused that one. Lot of talk about nothing.

Just found out from the owner of the cart stolen 1/11 that the cart was found at Hacienda with everything stripped off it.

So was there a cart stolen on Jan 13th (this past Friday)...As opposed to the one stolen on Jan 11th? Or we talking about the same one?

Nope, it was the one stolen 1/11. Fixed it in the post above. Sorry.

He wasn't specific, Gracie, but did say that "eveything in it or on it was stripped, including my
set of clubs."

Chances are it was the bag of clubs that was taken. I would bet the rest of the cart was okay.

I can see nice clubs going. But what I don't understand stripping a Golf Cart?

Was this a hopped up cart equipped with special leather seats and or special wheels?

Something out of the ordinary to made it a victim of theft for accessory desire?

Seems like a stolen cart would just disappear for resale in another state not be stripped?

Bet the parts are on ebay or craigs list soon. Police will look for this.

Anyone try to get fingerprints?

Anyone try to get fingerprints?

Fingerprints?? No doubt by now the cart was hermetically sealed and sent off to the FDLE crime lab for DNA matching against the world wide data base.

It's a golf cart! There are 55,000 of them in TV. No doubt more will be stolen, some recovered, some never seen again. Not an earth shattering event by any means.

And Bill, the bombs you placed to go off if anyone touched the garage door would have been in the paper ...by now.;)

I agree. Many years ago my car was broken into and a top coat stolen. Had to replace a wing window (remember them?) and a top coat. No big deal but I can still remember the terrible feeling I had when I discovered I had been victimized.
