There is absolutely no reason to not approve this pipeline. When he dodges and weaves on an issue and knows the outcome will be unfavorable to we the people, he goes into his routine why he could not do the job.
This is another example (of many) showing complete lack of leadership and complete disregard for the needs of the country.

Just what the hell cannot be studied and conclude in 60 days. In his political style, ignore it maybe it will go away, he then scrambles on the due date with his good old finger pointing why he could not make a decision.

There is a reason why Obama does not push enery alternative projects. After 3+ years of doing absolutely nothing. The ball has not been moved one inch. The dependency on foreign oil us as strong and getting stronger today as it was the day he was elected.

One conclusion is he does not want to upset the Middle East oil producers by working away from them as a source. There is no other rational reason.

Exactly why I do not have any use for his style of (being polite) management.
The style is called do nothing until forced to do so and then err on the side of not offending the oil cartels.

When there is a real oil shortage, then he can play king of the hill showing us what he will do for us...barfbarf

Obama discovers natural gas was a headline in an article pubished in the WSJ.

It seems with natural gas prices low and supllies increasing Obama not only takes credit for discovery natural gas but for keeping their prices low.

This despite the fact thay he encouraged and directed his Interior Scretary and EPA czar to attack the natural gas exploration method of fracking wherein both agencies made claims of it be environmental unsound and could pollute well water, create earthquakes and I sppose if they though they could get away with it volcanoe eruptions, climate change, sunspots ,floods and swarms of locusts.

I would not imagine that this is an Obama presidential campaign tactic. Naw

Obama doesn't need any tactics to beat any of these Rethuglicans clowns running.

Every time one of those bozos open his trap, he falls farther behind.

Speaking of "clowns", I suppose "the bozo" in the WH is meticulous when he "opens his trap"??????? I don't think so.

Canada is just going to send the oil to the Chi-Coms. If Obama want's to be stupid and treat the whole country like a national park the Canadians will do what they have to, and that is to "move the oil". All the jobs and all the oil in the hands of the Chi-Coms. They will then sell it back to us.

This should be enough to destroy any chance Obama has of ruling this country for another 4 years. (yes, ruling) How is this in the service of the American People?

This is about "securing his base". Obama is playing a dangerous game in order to secure his leftist wacko side of the electorate. Right now the Keystone Pipeline is merely an election issue. The pipeline would create over 20,000 jobs immediately and hundreds of thousand of new jobs in short order. It would provide many years of an incredible new source of inexpensive energy. None of that matters to Obama. None of the reality matters. So, here we are.

The people know who the leader is who is presiding over the country and stewarding it into it's present state of decline. Some think this will be an election focused on who the Republican candidate is. I think not.

No, the term for Obama wasn't "meticulous"....it was "articulate" when Joe Biden had to drop out of the 2008 campaign for describing Obama as "the first black guy running who's Storybook, man......he's clean, articulate...."

Saying Obama was "clean and articulate" meant Biden was "racist", they said. But that "racism" all disappeared when they needed a V.P. who knew something about foreign policy.

Why can't the Republicans just see that the Keystone Pipeline is a natural disaster waiting to happen, is not a major job creator, and would be a billion dollar profit for Dick Cheney and his Haliburton group. I would not be surprised if Junior Bush is in on the moneymaking plan, too.

Last time I heard the term, "Chi-Com" was when I was doing some research on the Korean War.

Because your reasoning is nonsense. There are approximating 1.8 million miles of natural gas pipelines in the U.S. http://www.pipeline101.com/Overview/natgas-pl.html

There is approximately 55,000 miles of crude oil pipelines in the U.S. http://www.pipeline101.com/Overview/crude-pl.html

Please post an article on any of the numerous natural disasters that have befallen us due to all these pipelines already in existence.

Your mentioning of Cheney is the first I've heard in all the numerous discussions and articles I've seen on the Keystone Pipeline proposals. Please link your sources on Cheney's involvement as well.

You're so focused on what corporation might profit on this important project that it corrupts your common sense. The main people who will profit are the middle-class union workers who you profess to love. Then all the ancillary businesses that will pop up to support this endeavor.

Your defense of Obama actions on Keystone are indefensible.

I haven't heard one Nebraskan come out in support of the pipeline. If this sludgeline were going to run down the spine of Florida, right through the aquifer, you would probably be singing a different song.

How many Nebraskans have you asked?

If you read the links provided you would see we have already almost 2 million miles of energy pipelines already in this country, and that's not including water and sewage and a myriad of other pipelines.

How strong is that Kool-Aid they're serving?
