I was at a meeting the other day and someone said that TV has a bus available to shuttle a large group of residents to a "local destination" ie: to DisneyWorld. Does anyone know of such an amenity? If so, how do you reach the right person to make arrangements for it?
This does not sound likely to me, but I promised the group I would ask.
PS...saw Lovin Spoonful last night at Katie Bell's and they were incredible!

There is a shuttle bus service which operates primarily between The Villages and Orlando Airport. These buses are the familiar white vehicles with The Villages logos on the sides, backs and fronts, which pickup passengers from the stations in Town Square and Market Square.
However, this service is not owned by The Villages -- it was purchased by a private party a year or two ago. The buses are available for private rental for a fee. My wife's hula performing group -- Aloha 'O Ka Hula -- rented one to take the group to perform at the AARP National Convention in Orlando. I don't recall the fee, but we felt it was well worth the expense when one considers the comfort, the driver who takes you where you need to go, and the tolls that you would have to pay anyway.
The service is listed in The Villages phone book under "Villages Transportation."

Not to belabor the point from a previous thread, but you did not see the Lovin' Spoonful. Without Sebastian and Zallie it is just a tribute band. As someone said, it is like seeing the Stones without Jagger (and Richards, for that matter).
