I've read up a little on Zoysia grass and how you should start mowing again after it starts turning green. According to most websites that is between March and June depending on where you live. What I'm wondering about is when that would be in TV. The rep from the company that landscaped our lot said we shouldn't have to mow before April. Is this true?

I was mowing last year in March.

My research tells me the Zoysia will green up when the night time temperatures are consistently above 40 degrees.
I have heard that people sometimes dye their Zoysia green during it's dormant period. Anybody done this?
