Can you add on to the back of your home with something other than concrete for flooring? Timbertech, wood or some other product? Our home sits up high in the back and to add on to the lanai would take a lot of concrete. Thanks for the help.

We're looking at doing much the same, and wonder if you found out more yet.
Please post update here or send me PM with what you've learned.

Please post information here. I, along with others, would love to know options on the lanaii as well. :)

about a product like Timbertech, but probably for an elevated lanai, am thinking they would use concrete block and fill with gravel, then the reinforced concrete pad? So - it wouldn't be a big depth of concrete. Not sure how this settles, but seems to me that's what I've seen, at least up north.

I'd say ask the Architectural Review Board, they reply pretty quick.
But as long as it's in good taste and such, I think it'd work fine.

JohnN, did you find out anything? Has anyone seen a lanai built with anything other than concrete?
