I agree! They took the risk and you have to keep your hand on the wheel to run such a successful business with attention to minute details. They deserve a fleet of yachts.

The villages and the Morse Family were not just about making money. They created a lifestyle that made us all happy. I have no problem with them owning a yacht. It would be nice however to be invided for visit on it. I can dream can't I.

So, what is the point of showing us that the Morses have a yacht? They also have a jet (maybe even more than one -- I don't know, don't care). From what I've heard, they have a beautiful home here, a very nice ranch in Montana (well, two, actually) and so on and so forth. They're rich. They've have the right to spend their money however they want, even if they are confused about which way the USA should be headed (it's a joke, folks!). So, again, is there a point?

It's actually a Cayman flag. It is much better for tax purposes to register luxury vessels in Cayman (or Panama, or the Bahamas) than in the U.S.
From the registry report: "The Country the Yacht is Flagged in: Cayman Islands - The official registry port is George Town and her home port is Fort Lauderdale, USA - Class society used: LR (Lloyds Register)"

If the Morse's are happy, I'm happy. I hope they continue to build, invest in, manage, and love The Villages they created for many many years to come.
Now, if I only fate will somehow create the scenario where the Morse's say "Hey Richie, we're going out on the "boat" to the islands, you want to come along?

The point is that I found it interesting and thought perhaps others would also find it interesting. This site used to be about sharing information. There is no negative or positive point in my posting this. I am a big fan of the Morse family and very thankful for the great place that they have created for us to live in. I dislike politics so I could care less what way you or anyone else think which way the USA should be headed. But it does not surprise me that someone would add that to this post either as a comic or critic.
That being said I hesitated to post this information because of what would perhaps be posted by those who dislike the Morse family. But when I posted it I did not think I would be asked to explain why I posted it. I have found that this site has to many critics and comics and I have not posted much in the last year for that reason.
I see that you have 4,561 posts since 2007 so I guess you may be used to being asked why you started a post but in my 673 posts also since 2007 this is a first.

You are correct and I can see that it could come off that I was on a political agenda however I truly was not.
I was given this information by a friend and thought many would find it interesting as I did so I passed it on. Before the friend sent me this information and to be honest I did not even know the GOP convention was in Tampa nor did I care. Now I am glad I know the GOP convention is in Tampa so I will say away from there at that time the same way I would if the Democrats were having their convention in the area. I truly am not a political person.
As I posted earlier that I feel this site used to be about sharing information about The Villages however it now seems that when you post something you have a special reason to do so. I do regret even posting the whole thing.

I do have to say that when something "off color" is posted about TV, people generally get very defensive. I can understand since it's your home and a darn good one at that, but I don't think anyone should beat anyone up for giving their opinion. Afterall, that's what makes the world go 'round and it may save some of us from making mistakes when dining out, buying goods, hiring contractors and getting scammed in general...etc. The fact that the Morse's have what they have probably makes some jealous but if they only knew how hard they had to work they wouldn't begrudge him anything. TV is what happens when you plant lots of flowers and water them constantly....they growwwwww. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

I know, I worked there for two years (and in former colonies Belize and the Bahamas for ten years).
There is a difference, although it was not evident from the photo of the yacht.
From Wikipedia:
"The Flag of the Cayman Islands was adopted on 14 May 1958 after the colony was officially granted a coat-of-arms. Prior to that, the Islands had used the British flag for all official occasions. In 1999, the white disc was removed and the arms were more than doubled in size, although the pre-1999 flag remains popular and is still used on some official occasions."

Here's a picture of the Cracker Bay taken in Boston 2011-09-03 12:08.
http://photos2.marinetraffic.com/ais/showphoto.aspx?photoid=574664&size=full
You can track her by entering her MMSI 319715000 into Goggle.
I'm not sure that everyone will have access to the site. I send AIS ship positions to the site when I'm up North so I may be on an access list.
Most large pleasure yachts carry AIS transmitters and broadcast their position while underway.

Sorry that I attached a motive to you that wasn't there. I'm not a Morse fan but I don't slam them for no reason. I honestly was confused as to your motive -- was it to just show a beautiful boat or was it to show how much money the Morse's had and create some envy or anger? Given that you made the comment about the GOP, it seemed more like an excuse to bash Morse than anything else. I apologize for misinterpreting.

Don't forget the original vision for what we have in TV was created by Harold Schwartz. He dreamed of creating a place where anyone of any income level could afford a nice house and enjoy retirement. He started it all and asked his son (Morse) to come help when he knew he was getting too old to finish the job. Morse was not the creator; he just continued the work after his father died.
