There is no toll free number for Disney, and I want to purchase tickets for visiting kids, via my FL residency for use in April. However, I am unable to determine if there are blackout dates for one day ticket use. Don't want to spend all that money on tickets which are unusable on certain dates. Appreciate some input from folks in this situation? Thanks. Sandra

Florida Resident Special Offers (http://allears.net/pl/florid1.htm)
Here's another site..... from Disney.... http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/ticket-descriptions.htm

Scroll down and you'll see something about blackout dates. You can call the park and get the information you need....it's better from the horses mouth so to speak. May not be a toll free number but it might be worth the call.

One more option is AAA. If you belong, they may offer discounts and or be able to tell about black out dates.

I hope this helps.

Thank you, Skyguy. I used the ticket number you supplied, and got real live person to help me - yeah. There is no blackout date for FL res one day use tickets. Good news. I feel safe now to purchase tickets closer to the date of use. TOTV is a perfect site for gathering information, not to mention a fun way to "chat" with Villagers. Sandra

How does that work? Do the guests have to show their Florida ID when you pick up the tickets at Disney?

Make sure everyone has a Florida id if you are buying FL resident tickets. You can't purchase these tickets for non Fl residents using your resident ID. We had to show our DL when we arrived at the gate the first time. After that, we didn't have to show proof.

I think you are correct. Visiting family from out of state wouldn't count as FL residents.

beware the clever use of cast members in and around that florida resident line and the ticket takers...they are trained to approach the young ones and ask if they are having a good time in florida, yada, yada, yada - and then ask them where they are visiting from! once determined they are not fl residents - the jig is up and their tix are pulled! know of two incidents where that happened - good news - no one got in any real trouble - but did hafta pay the difference to make up to a full freight ticket!

Can you buy residency Disney ticket for Visiting kids?

NO! You can only use resident tickets if you have a FL id and live in FL. Guests of FL residents even if family can't use a resident ticket.

Disney website states that the purchaser must provide FL ID (DL), but children under age 18 do not have to reside in FL.......

Have taken our grandchildren on Fl pass with no problem. We bought them at the desk at our hotel on grounds and they knew the kids were here visiting from another state.
