Has anyone dealt with the new Golf Cart Store on 466 (Village Discount Golf Car)? He has new 2012 Club Car Precendents for $5495 (bare bones) with sunbrella sides, club protector and light package $6,000.:coolsmiley:
Correction. the carts are remanufactured in 2012 by the Club Car Factory. All new components and batteries. two year warrantee from Club Car.
I am thinking of buying one and wonder if anyone else has dealt with them.

Is this the same outfit that was known as K & H and then Freedom Carts? Refer to an older TOTV thread from early 2009 for opinions..

I like their tag line " we do everything for less" I read that as "we sell the cheapest stuff we can get".
I haven't seen this "Tag line" The ad reads Village discount golf car 2012 Club Car Precedents Grand opening specials Starting at $5495. All colors.
perhaps you have this store confused with another.
Even their banner ad of 2012 club cars for sale is mis-leading if the cars are remanufacturered. That in my book is not new, and Im sure the Club car dealer would not be too happy about it.
Im steering clear, no pun intended.
Club Car Dealer tried to tell me Club Car does not do Remanufactures. I checked Ingersoll Rand/ Club Car Web Site and they certainly do.

Click on the banner ad and go to that site, there you will find the "tag line"
Where is this "banner Ad"?
Finally saw the "Banner Ad" I did not realize they were advertizing on this web site. Now I am even happier I bought from them.

Ain't that the truth? We got our gas Yamaha at the Village Golf Car store and they have been absolutely wonderful during, AND more importantly, after the sale. We recently has a few stitches work loose in the seat and they gave us a brand new custom made seat. There is no particular virtue in getting something for the absolutely lowest amount..you do get what you pay for. Good customer service is very important to me and the VGC delivers that, for sure.

I went there today and learned they do not sell new carts. They had Club Car remanufactured carts and several used Yamaha 2012 carts - Both with manufacturer warranties. I believe their ad's lead the buyer to believe these 2012 carts are new.
I'm all for competition and I think this business model could succeed in TV. However, if their ads are perceived to be misleading, they will create an image that will backfire. I also wonder what I might be missing in the fine print.

This is true, but despite all the negative comments from people who have not even set foot in the door, I did purchase a Cart from them. It has been rebuilt by "Club Car" and looks brand new. Club Car backs it up with a two year warrantee. I was treated very well, the price was right and I received a generous allowance for my very old cart.
I first learned about this store from the owner of the discount golf equipment store just east of the location. He was advising another customer who wanted to know the best place to buy a cart to wait a couple of weeks until this new golf store opened.

The new store, Villages Discount Golf Cars, on 466 has no connection with K & H or any other locate golf car store. This is their first time in the golf car business.

I agree that ad says 2012 carts $5795, to me that means the date of manufacturer is 2012 NOT re-manufactured in 2012.
:gc:
Totally miss leading and the admin of this forum should address this false advertising IMO.
False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising. As advertising has the potential to persuade people into commercial transactions that they might otherwise avoid, many governments around the world use regulations to control false, deceptive or misleading advertising. "Truth" refers to essentially the same concept, that customers have the right to know what they are buying, and that all necessary information should be on the label.
Florida law
817.44 Intentional false advertising prohibited.—
(1) WHAT CONSTITUTES INTENTIONAL FALSE ADVERTISING.—It is unlawful to offer for sale or to issue invitations for offers for the sale of any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, or any services, professional or otherwise, by placing or causing to be placed before the general public, by any means whatever, an advertisement describing such property or services as part of a plan or scheme with the intent not to sell such property or services so advertised, or with the intent not to sell such property or services at the price at which it was represented in the advertisement to be available for purchase by any member of the general public.

You can buy a brand new 2012.5 EFI Yamaha from an authorized Yamaha dealer for less than that, just saying...

I was treated very fair before, during and since the sale. Have had the cart about two months now, one minor issue that was taken care of by them right away.

Their claim is that Club Car puts a 2012 VIN # on the cart. I am not sure they are miss leading. I talk to someone who purchased a cart from them and are very pleased. I will do some more checking. I have not driven their carts yet. They opened in Jan 2012, time will tell!

Ok I called club car, 1-800-Club Car (1-800-258-2227)
they are not authorized dealers therefore no factory warrantee it is strictly his word, if he closes his doors you are SOL.
It appears there is only one authorized dealer in the area that can sell rebuilts, it's not him.
I was told he brings them in from out of state.
Their claim is that Club Car puts a 2012 VIN # on the cart. I am not sure they are miss leading.
They also had no knowledge of a 2012 vin build date showing on the unit.
These are several years old and refurbed by him or bought thru another dealer.
He has complaints filed with Club Cars legal dept now.
The factory guy said that was a crazy price......
So should his ad as it is stand on this forum?

Hi!
I am a new snowbird. I went to this shop and bought a reasonably priced cart. I am very happy with it. I am even happier with the treatment that I received- they really care. The salesman was courteous, knowlegeable and low key. The head service guy, Shawn, is professional and very mannerly. He has assured me that any service can and will be done on my cart if and as needed.
I am impressed with this new company and hope that all of you will make your OWN assessment of them before passing on any info.

Our apologies to Cartiologist... His 4/10 post below was stuck in Moderation status and not noticed until just now where it was released for full view. An unpredictable system quirk that we continue to try to work around.

So your very first post endorses this dealer who do you work for?
I second everything Kity KaT said and this is not my first post. I am very happy with the transaction and the after sale service.
Sal, I am happy to see your post clarify all the issues.
Some people will always be doubting thomases.

Sal, everything I said is absolutely true. :spoken:
For you to add the word "reman" in your ad will fit.
If anyone wishes to verify my statements call the factory or Cart World.
Call Cart World to if they will honor this alleged warrantee.
Sorry Sal if the truth hurts but you are in my opinion miss leading the public in not stating in your banner that they are re-manufactured.
Plenty of seniors around here get raw deals and I'm just exposing what I feel is in violation of the "truth in advertising" , to say nothing of operating in an ethical manner.
If I were a competitor I would have a lawyer all over you.
You are not going to change they way you do business that is clear.
I said my piece, buyer beware.
.
I Just received a brochure in the mail from Club Car/Ingersoll Rand. In this brochure the Gold Standard Factory remanufactured golf Car is described just as Sal has stated.
