Does anyone know what happened to the webcam at LSL?
I just logged on for my daily dose of T V. Looks like the wind (?) may have had a hand in moving the camera.
I was so looking forward to seeing my old friend Will :icon_wink: :icon_wink: :icon_wink:
Looks like the camera has been turned. It happens every once in a while. Hopefully someone will turn it back to its normal position very soon.

I'm trying to live the dream through the webcams at LSL and Spanish Springs. The eye strain is killing me. Does anyone know how to blow it up or another place to get a BIGGER view. It would be nice if the cameras could sweep from side to side. I know . . . . I know . . . . finish the move and I wouldn't have to rely on the webcam. It won't be long.

Just select Live Feed from the Viewing Mode drop down box at the top and you can see all the action in Lake Sumter Landing.

Thanks for your response. It's not the same if you can't see the dancing. :clap2: And now there's a cob-web on the camera at SS. :throwtomatoes:
Thanks again

WONDERFUL. The bigger it gets, it gets a little grainy, but it's still better than squinting.
Thanks for your help.

Plug the computer into the tv for a larger screen. Later ones should be compatible.

CaptJohn, HOW do I plug the computer into the tv? I have wanted to do this for ages! I have a usb port, some rgb hookups, some other colored hookups, and I have no idea what to use. I want to be able to hear the computer on the tv, too. (I have a favorite HULU program that I want to watch on the big screen).
But getting back on topic, I would also love to watch the progress at SS on the big screen.

I get these same options. I can see the webcam for LSL but how do I see the webcam for SS?When your on the LSL webcam, there is a link to the cam for SS below the cam view. You may have to reduce the size of your screen to see it by using <ctrl> -
Again, return to default size by using <ctrl> 0.

If you are still having streaming problems due to not being able to register the Axis Camera control, you should go to the Axis web site and directly install the control from there. There is something to check on in IE >tools also.
The following link from microsoft gives the info. The ActiveX Camera Control, which enables you to view live image - Microsoft Answers (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/the-activex-camera-control-which-enables-you-to/f7e9afbf-af7e-4f4b-a0e9-507e04e9226b)
I wish they would get a cam up at Brownwood so we could keep track there too.

I wish they would get a cam up at Brownwood so we could keep track there too. When the center is running with entertainment, I'm sure they will install a third cam. As for now, the cam would have a very limited perspective especially when compared with the Youtube videos they have been producing every month. At least with the wind and rain the cob-web on the SS camera is gone:pepper2: Now all I have to worry about is whether our house will still be there when we arrive in a week. Can I borrow one of your valiums?
Up here in the sticks (and trees) we lose power if the wind blows more than 5 mph. Can anyone tell me how stable the power grid is down there? With underground utilities I would think it would be pretty reliable.

I'd love to read what you have to say, but the color you chose makes it a little difficult for these old eyes.It works beautifully on the dark green background but not so well on the white background. Would you consider something a little darker?
If you choose to keep this color, it won't be the end of the world! :icon_wink: Many thanks!

If you choose to keep this color, it won't be the end of the world! :icon_wink: Many thanks! When you encounter text color that's hard to read, you can try highlighting the text (or place your curser over the text and triple click) like you would if you were going to copy and paste a selection of the text. That should make it easier for you to read.
Try it here ->>> This is a test of the off color reading of text <<<

Go to The Villages - Florida's Friendliest Retirement Hometown - New Home Sales, Home Resales, Build Your Dream Home (http://www.thevillages.com). Look toward the top right of the home page, Currently in The Villages, then the current temp. is posted in yellow. Click on the temp., and that will bring you to the web cams. You can switch back and forth between the web cams at Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing by clicking on the link toward the bottom of the page. Hopefully in the fall there will be a web cam for Brownwood. Enjoy!
