Feast your eyes on a report from Forbes.com that appears on MSN at

8 fastest-growing small towns - MSN Real Estate (http://realestate.msn.com/8-fastest-growing-small-towns?GT1=35006)

purporting to show the fastest growing small towns in America. TV being #1. Nice photo of LSL. WARNING... the comments contain a lot of anti-Villages sentiment mostly revolving around the destruction of rural farmland, heavy use of natural resources especially water, the political clout, and the claim that it is an unsafe place for a single man due to the hordes of AIDS spreading aggressive women.

I'm not sure where they're getting some of their info. They state the population in 2010 was 93,420. According to this month's edition of The Villages Voice (the VHA newspaper) our population is 87,000 and growing by approx 1,000 per quarter.

Although I'll admit at this time of year it feels like we have 193,420 living here!

I can live with the thought of the abuse of the land and waters...what is keeping me up at night however is the thought of all of those poor, defensive men. So sad :(

So maybe there should be more discussions about Cougars than Coyotes on TOTV.:)

In the article, it says that this number includes "the suburbs" (whatever that is). It mentions that the actual population of TV is 87,000 and quotes someone from TV administration for that number.
