Any advantages in buying houses in Lake County over Sumter County?

:a040: I am pretty sure that Lake County has "no bond!"....!!! So if money matters, that could be a point!!

No bond in Lake County. For the most part Lake is closer to all things relating to shopping, etc...

That's good to know. What 'villages' are in Lake County?

Could someone please confirm there is no Bond in Lake County?
Does this apply to "Bond Maintenance" non advelorum(sp) taxes as well?
Thank you.

I "second" the question - is there a list of which villages belong in which counties?

See Map:

Maps of The Villages, Copyright Tee Up Realty, LLC (http://thevillages4rent.com/maps/)

North of 8 (Belle Aire) = Marion County

East of Morse/El Camino Real Roundabout = Lake County
(16, 21, 25, 31, 34 etc)

If you go to The Villages Community Development Districts site: districtgov.org

and look at the Quick Links blue sidebar on the left hand side... click where it says, "Village Neighborhoods." It brings up a PDF that lists Neighborhoods by County.

Thank you. I see a section for Village #31 on the map but I don't see a name on the list. Which Village is that? Thank you

all of the historic section is in lake county...we have no bond and no traffic! spanish springs town square and all of the shopping you want is a quick and easy ride over the golf cart bridge - less intimidating than the golf cart lanes over the bridge to lake sumter - imho! the villages here are silver lake, orange blossom gardens and country club hills. the village of silver lake has the southside adult pool and hot tub and stays open later than other pools!

am not too familiar with the dividing line on the other side of 441/27, but i do know that villages such as mira mesa, la zamora are also in lake county.

I believe it's Mira Mesa.

There are many villages in Lake County not on the historic side. Mira Mesa, Valle Verde, La Reynaldo, El Cortez, La Zamora to name a few. I also think the county line splits some villages. Check it all out on a map.

Most of TV is in Sumter county. Not necessarily near Lake Sumter. There is no Pee in Lake Sumter.

All of The Villages are wonderful. Your home village is the best.

No Bond or CDD fee in Lake County Don't know what covers what CDD covers in Sumter or Marion
