I just recently found out that both Lowes and Home Depot give a 10% military discount (active and retired). They don't advertise it, and you have to ask for it at checkout.
If you know of any other military discounts available...please post them.

A while back there was an Article about Cody's offering a 10% for military. Also Sandals Resorts offers 10% discounts on all stays over 3 nights. Nice to see the Vets being recognized.

The majority of major cruise lines offer military discount to active duty, reserved, retired and honorably discharged vets.
Go to vacationstogo.com and in the search engine search for military discounts on upcoming cruises. You could also go to the individual cruise line web sites to search, just takes a bit longer.

If you are retired military, ask for the military discount at hotels. The savings are substantial. You will need to show your military id card.

princess cruise lines will give you a $100 ship board credit for vets. Go online to their website, and fill out the paperwork one time . You will get the credit every time you sail with princess.

I just checked Princess web site for the military discount. You must be active duty, retired or disabled to be eligible. Just an FYI.

Most of the time Home Depot on 441 will. Depends on the cashier. I bought a $800.00 power washer there last week and the cashier said they don't give discounts to Military. I asked her to check with the manager, she did, the manager came over and I showed her my discharged Military ID (pink card) and she said no problem. So if the cashier won't do it ask for the Manager. Lowes was the same way, depends on the cashier. A couple of months ago I purchased a few items on 441 and the cashier told me they don't give discounts to Military, only on Veterans Day. I told her that they they give 10 % discount for military up north. She stated "YOU ARE NOT UP NORTH"! Haven't been to Lowes since.

I am up north lol, have never had a problem with HD, but lowes makes you wait for someone to come over and take a look at your ID card. by the way ID has your picture on it. From what I was told in both stores , its a nation wide policy, to give discounts to vets...but the proble both stores were having was some vets were giving dd214s to friends to get discounts. Now they dont have a pic on it..best advice is to go to vets center and get ID card..By the way, the cashier that told you that was a JERK, shame on her or him. Very nasty thing to say to someone who put their life on the line.

I was just in HD-unaware of Military Discount. Cashier saw my retired ID when I opened my wallet and offered the discount. Needed supervisor approval. Very well handled
