Hi, I used to live on the East Side of the Villages, when it was known as Orange Blossom Gardens. We moved up there from Davie and loved it there. We were on Beechwood Avenue and finally on Jason Drive. I miss the area alot. I live in Illnois now and I'm hoping to move back to the area soon. Right now what I miss the most is WVLG radio. We have nothing like that up here in Olney, IL. I'm so glad to see this website up. :a040: :a040:

Welcome!
You don't mention why you came back to Illinois.
We are in Illinois now and plan to be on the road moving on the 25th. The plan is to NEVER come back. There isn't anything wrong with Illinois, but there is no reason for us to come back.
I hope you get back to TV soon!

I'm familiar with Olney. Moved here full time in October from Champaign. Lived in Effingham for about 16 years. Grew up near Seneca.
I hope you get back here soon!

Thank all of you for such a generous welcome. There's nothing like living there.
Nice to know someone else knows about Olney, IL.; it's the Home of the White Squirrels and they're so cute.
Okay, the reason why I went back to Illinois, my husband passed away six years ago on 2/17 and I was all by myself. So, on July 26, 2007; my sister and her daughter helped me move back to be near other family members. I do want to come back, at least to live in an apartment again. I miss everything about TV, nothing like that wonderful place. I know one of the real estate agents, she sold our home there. I keep in touch with her as much as I can. In the meantime, I'm still working on getting a better radio antenna to pick up WVLG, I miss that radio station alot.
Does anyone know if the Barber Shop is still open where LaBodega gas station is? My husband used to work in Cal's Barber shop in the mid-late 1980s.

hmmm can you dial it in on your computer? Often can get stations there you know but then TV is a different animal so not sure.

Deborah, Welcome to TOTV from another Illinoisian who hopes to be a TV resident someday.
I don't believe WVLG streams on the internet. I wish they did as I have enjoyed listening to WVLG when I have visited in TV.
Maybe if enough people asked about internet streaming, WVLG would consider starting streaming on the internet. Many radio stations are doing this nowadays.
