The weather was not looking good for viewing the launch but as it has cleared somewhat I thought I'd post the information. At 5:46 PM with a potential for delay of up until 6:30 PM (44 minute window) there is a scheduled launch from Kennedy Space Center of an Atlas V with a military communication satellite. Details at :::: United Launch Alliance, LLC :::: (http://www.ulalaunch.com/site/pages/Multimedia_Webcast.shtml)

From that link you can also watch a webcast of the launch and commentary beginning at 5:26, twenty minutes before take-off.

Now, to see it in person, just look EAST, away from the sunset. You should expect to see a vertical "cloud" going upward from the horizon. We are too far to hear anything. If there are a lot of clouds on the horizon it will be hidden. Good luck and enjoy

East sky has low haze - should be able to see the rocket ok. The previous ones I have seen appear to curve up to the Northeast.

Now earliest launch now is 6:16

has to launch before 6:29

Earliest launch now at 6:29 - the latest possible time.

Doesn't look good - too windy up high.

I recall when the words "Rocket Launch" meant Roger Clemens was entering the game.
