View Full Version : who leaves poop on the ground?

I walked with my dog down to the Tamarind Grove mailboxes today to check the mail. We found two loads of poop on the entrance grass. We picked up one... the other was too mushed to pick up.

Why? Who does this? It makes me so mad. A few bad owners are going to spoil it for all the rest of us and our dogs.

Not me. I tend the litter boxes for our cats.

Low lifes, scum-bags that could care less about the surroundings or anyone else but themselves, think they are too good to follow the rules and the rules don't apply to them.... there are quite a few of these I've noticed...

Kind of like the lady that keeps using the side of my house as a cut through to another street, while wearing a path in my grass and when I finally had enough and said something, looked square at me and said "What, I'm not hurting your precious lawn, then turned and walked off." And still does it today. Tomorrow may be sprinkler time :)

That's who left the dog poop.. :ohdear:

It is so very selfish. I hope that the good people on TOTV would never do such a thing. I saw the same thing at a different mail station last month. Folks that do things like this are the same way in other circumstances. There is simply NO excuse for this!!!

TommyT, you go with the sprinklers! Great idea.

Gracie Girl, as long as there is poop being left around, I believe there should be poop threads. If it weren't for informational campaigns and the teaching of children, a lot of us would be smokers.

CFrance. I so agree but if I didn't agree, there would still be poop threads....and ...and the people who don't care about others will continue to do so and the people who do care about others will continue to do so.

And there will be serious and angry posts, and silly posts and funny posts and we will hear from Fumar, and we will hear a lot of things.

There are people who love their pets like children, and people who do not like pets at all, and people who will go way off the subject and people who are afraid of dogs but won't say that is the reason for their posts, and people like me who do not have a dog, but love them.

Please continue.

My pet peeve is irresponsible pet owners, no pun intended.:(:censored::rant-rave::rant-rave::swear::swear:

Luckily, these low-life pet owners are few. But you're right, they ruin it for the rest of us.

I see people all the time in our village, who stand next to their dog, and no plastic bag in sight. Geez, awful to walk in that stuff!

Many catalogs carry a sprinkler that is motion activated. It stands on a little "tower". It works on people as well as on deer, which is how I know the product.

I know from reading on here there are dog parks in The Villages. How many are there? How far apart are they from each other? Do they have member fees or are they free to people who live in The Villages?

Can't resist re-telling my true and favorite story of a "poopertrator" in our old neighborhood in VA. Despite the leash law, neighbors would let their LARGE dog loose at night, and the dog invariably left a huge pile of poop on our home's front steps, of all the places... After making sure of the culpret, my revenge was sweet, although decidedly stinky. Our large dog, was confined to a run when not in the house (she was our house pet). The week long collection of our doggie's deposits, were stored in an air tight, lined recepticle. Under over of darkness one steaming summer night, I lugged about 15 pounds worth of heaving, bagged, poop. :boom: You can guess where I deposited it........... Voila. No more night deposits from that particular neighbor's dog..

Loved your story Shrandell!! Amazing how quickly people learn when they have to pick up someone else's doggie doo-doo!!:coolsmiley:

My wife and I always comment of the homes that their backyards face the road and happen to have the sidewalk on their side of the street. It must be a never ending battle picking up the little suprizes scattered on their lawns.

Chances are that the offender will be back again and again. so a little patience and some Charlie Chan investigation will reveal to number one son and the rest of The villages " the poopetrator. Citizens arrests are optional

What a creative bunch of Villagers we are :) Can't wait for "the Rest Of The Story" (God love Paul Harvey). Between a vivid mental image of the trespassing female receiving a stinking shower via the sprinkler system,: and Charlie Chan's inscrutable smile as he sureys the illicit poop swirling through the DNA diagnostic machine.... a040::police:the post scripts will be very satisfying....

If you see the poopertrator you should follow them home and post their address and what they have done on TOTV.

The link is there as you can see in the quote of your first post shown above. The issue is that some of us (and maybe you) cannot see youtube links in posts on TOTV in IE and cannot figure out why. There is a thread about this: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/message-board-support-testing-74/i-cannot-see-videos-links-video-posts-ie-47064/

Besides, instead of hovering over the sprinkler switch, I'm hoping Tommy will hover over the video camera switch.:D I can't believe the nerve of that self-absorbed woman.

Tommy, capture her on video with the surprise shower and you'll be an honorary member of the Girl's Posse, for sure! :eclipsee_gold_cup:

On Youtube, if you click "Share" below the video window, you can copy that link and use it instead of the long form of the URL, it will work with IE... at least it has for me!
