For all of you looking to buy furniture, we spent a lot of time today figuring something out. We have to buy all of our furniture for our home. After chasing around from furniture store to furniture store to find what we might like, we found pieces here and pieces there in different stores. We went to Southern Lifestyles for I think about the 5th time in 5 days, and spoke to one of their sales people. I wanted her advise on how to bring everything together with furniture so the house wouldn't look mismatched. She said that when the house was built, have one of their sales people go to the home to see the layout and colors in the home, then Southern Lifestyles could order most any piece of furniture we saw in other stores, (if we get the maker) help coordinate all of the furniture plus give us a 5 percent discount on the furniture we bought at Southern Lifestyles. It would take 6-8 weeks but they would loan us furniture in the mean time. We could customize the fabrics too! So we got the maker of some lanai furniture and they said they could order that furniture and offer many more colors of fabric to choose from. We were thrilled for this service and will be contacting them when our house is built. It's too hard trying to furnish a house not built yet. We will have to be patient. Also, we are customizing our closets and found that it's best to have the house built first before trying to visualize what the shelves and drawers will look like with no house. We will probably use Tammy at Custom Home Closets. She will come to your home and do the layout with you. It will take 3-4 weeks to order. Remember....good things come to those who wait.
