I have 2 older handicapped rescue dogs (12-14 years); one is totally blind and the other one has 3 legs. They are not ill, but are growing old. Have had 2 Vets here in Lady Lake but have not been happy with them, as we seemed to be more of a $$$ game, rather than good quality pet care at a reasonable price. In fact, the last Vet I used has a Better Business Bureau Rating of "F" + 3 class action lawsuits pending. Any/all recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Bless you for rescuing handicapped dogs. In my opinion, Vets in The Villages are just way too expensive. I'm sending you a PM with my recommendation.

Jennifer Teitelbaum, Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital 352-245-9009. Her address is 7101 SE Highway 42 near 301. EXCELLENT vet. Have used her since she opened her clinic many years ago. Good Luck!

I agree with Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital. We've been using them for about 18 months and they've been great. Both of the vets we've seen have been excellent

We have used Paw Animal Hospital in the Laurel Manor office complex at Buena Vista and 466. We use Dr. Amy Barnett. (352) 259-2439 They are AAHA accredited which my last vet in Wesley Chapel told me to be sure to look for when selecting a new vet for my boys. Our Chihuahua had taken ill as soon as we moved to The Villages and we had to immediately find a vet. We took him to see Dr. Barnett and after a few test, seems to have hit the nail on the head with his condition. He's been fine ever since she put him on a strict diet.
I'm very happy with her and the office since I go there quite frequently to buy his food. In as far as cost ... I haven't found a vet that was reasonable in the past 25 years. For routine shots, micro-chipping,, heartworm preventatives, etc... we have used PetLuv in Brooksville.

I have been using Buffalo Ridge Animal Hosp and they are fantastic and are now open 24-7 for emergencies. And since you have older dogs with issues this is he only emergency animal hospital in the area and located off 466

Save a shelter dogs life and they will save yours!!!!

I second Buffalo Ridge. Dr. Kelly Krause is fantastic and I like the fact they are open 24/7 with their new emergency clinic.
