after reading the monday news i've noticed so many people listed as living in the villages arrested, ages 20-45, how is this with this being 55 and over community. do the villages not enforce this rule???

No person under 19 can live here for more then 30 days. Older they can rent, live with friends or family and 20% under 55 can buy here!

And, it has always been my theory that the "young" people who show up in the blotter with an identification hat they're from The Villages are probably somehow troubled and are therefore living with parents.
Skip0358 is right. There's no prohibition for 19-54 year olds! Only 1] at least one resident is supposed to be 55 or older, and 2] no permanent resident under age 19.

I read the same blotter and there were three today from The Villages. One from Marion county who was 29 and two from Sumter one was 24 and one was 48. The younger two were lesser issues (Dui and something on that level) but the older guy was a felony crime for theft.
