When you all have time to sit and watch tv, what are some of your favorite shows? Are you a sports nut? A news channel nut? Maybe you like the food network or home and garden?

My favs are Top Chef, Project Runway, Property Virgins, Holmes on Holmes, house hunters and Chopped.

I watch almost any sport, but especially love college basketball and PGA golf. I try to watch every episode of Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, American Pickers, Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, NCIS, and most things on the HGTV, DIY, Science, Discovery, Military, History, BBCA, and Velocity channels.

The best new mystery show I feel this year is, CBS's Person Of Interest. Lots of twists, well written, and it really holds my interest. If you never watched it, give it a try.

I watch only Netflix movies, some movies on TCM, and anything that's on PBS Masterpiece. I did watch HBO's Boardwalk Empire for a while, but not now.

Revenge on ABC (edge of your seat suspense) is my favorite new show. HGTV's House Hunters, Divine Design and Yard Crashers. I also like American Idol (so much talent in everyday people) and Dancing With The Stars (there may be hope for me). The Daily Show...funny! And NatGeo...informative and beautiful!

I expect this lunch is at Crispers?? I don't even know where that is! I need simple directions cause so far I'm familiar with 466, 466A, Morse Blvd and 441, Buena Vista and of course the squares. I will be moving in May, so that's probably when I'll get to the next luncheon. I look forward to seeing you there!

Who needs tv to be entertained? I just go down to one of the local round-abouts and watch for all the supposed bumping and banging and maneuvering for position. It beats watching the Daytona 500!

Ah, yes, TheVillages .5!
Maybe they should install seats around the perimeter and charge admission (no saving of seats allowed like at the squares). :icon_twisted:

In the meantime, I like PBS shows, travel, history, ancestry, Antiques Roadshow, This Old House and other remodeling shows.

Thank you. If things go smoothly, we will try to make it on the third Friday in May. I believe we will be flat out busy trying to make our house a home, so if I don't make it I'm sure you'll understand. We will put in on our calendars for both May and June! Thanks.

Please note that "being busy making our house a home" is not really an acceptable reason for missing a TOTV lunch! You'll need a break as much as, if not more than, anyone who's been here a while.

See you on May 18!

Gracie! Shame on you! Hahahaha!

NCIS, The Closer, Bones, Person of Interest, Body of Proof, The Mentalist, The Finder, Leverage, Masterpiece Theater.

The shows I don't enjoy are the reality shows & the elimination shows. I don't like it when somebody gets voted off. I like scripts and story lines and real acting & directing & sets.

Just give me a good murder mystery, and I'm a happy viewer! lol

Just started watching Face-Off which is a competition for Hollywood make-up artists. Funny thing is the host often looks like she has a paint sprayed on tan. Could be my television. http://www.mckenzie-westmore.com/

Enjoy many of the USA shows like Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, White Collar, Psych.

Still love NCIS after all these years; and its newer counterpart NCIS-LA. The remake of Hawaii Five 0 is also OK.

Revenge is fascinating.

Cable shows are good too like True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, etc.

Army Wives -- Was the last show shown last week the series finale or the season finale? I have read different things on the Internet. Seemed like too much of a cliff hanger to be a series finale.

Leverage -- I have had a huge crush on Timothy Hutton since he debuted on the big screen 30+ years ago in "Ordinary People" which is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Rizzoli and Isles

Major Crimes

Hawaii Five 0, Blue Bloods and The Good Wife -- looking forward to them returning in a few weeks with new episodes.

My wife just came here from the Philippines and had never seen most American television. She is currently really into Seinfeld and Friends reruns. I like to watch mostly news programs and golf. We also love the Big Bang Theory. I got the MLB package so I could watch the Red Sox, but unfortunately they're having "a bit of an off year", so I've kind of lost interest.

At the moment I am watching, The Finder, The Glades, CSI Miami (I need a Florida fix now autmn is here :icon_wink: ) We also get a couple of Australian crime shows, more 'gritty' than US crime shows. One is, 'Underbelly'
Worth looking up to watch on line, it is set in Melbourne about the local Maffia. Though I do not like the bad language!

The new season of Dexter started last night. It should be interesting to see how Dexter interacts with his sister.

Loved The Finder and regret that it looks like they axed it. Cannot say I will miss CSI: Miami that much. It too got the can.

Love Royal Pains, Burn Notice, NCIS, Law and Order Special Victims Unit (but not as much since Stabler left) and Modern Family..also watch HGTV, especially Candice Olsen..and occasionally Hoarders...just to feel like a great housekeeper. Lately I've been watching a few shows about hauntings...I watch, laugh at how stupid and fake it all is....then find myself jumping anytime I hear a noise in my house. Think I need to stop watching!

I'm sure a case can be made for certain players that have a guaranteed contract so if they get hurt, they still will be paid. Therefore, there isn't a great need to produce. It is funny how a player produces in the last year of his contract in order to get a bigger contract.

I'd like to think that almost all players want to reap some reward of their efforts in terms of championships. The caveat is that some players look at it like a job.

It does pertrurb me when I see a player making millions and not hustling.
Can you hear me Robbie Cano and Nick Swisher?
