Does anybody have Comcast's economy internet service?
I understand the regular internet speed is quoted at 15 MB ($47.95/month) download and the economy is 1.5 MB ($28.95/month).

I am tired of Comcast price increases and am reducing the television service and am looking at the internet possible savings.

So I am trying to get a feel for how much slower the economy is.
Will it download pictures (slower of course)?
Will it play the various video clips which are in much of what we look at online?
Will it affect the Wifi network in house?
We do not play games on the internet. Mostly casual browsing/research, email and various forum participation.

I would appreciate any advice/experience that will help my decision making.

Why pay $28.95 for economy 1.5 mb when you can upgrade to $47.95 or more for 15 mb?

We started out with the economy service, found you cannot watch videos(or in my case, Young and Restless)on it. Also if you play games, forget it. We upgraded $10.00/month for the Boost, all is well in the household.

We use economy and it works fine for us. Sometimes we have to pause a video clip to let it buffer for a few minutes before watching but we can do other things on line while waiting. Web pages load pretty quickly. It doesn't slow down other devices tied to our wifi like on demand Directv or my Tablet. We don't play games on line or watch internet TV (except through Directv). I suggest you start with economy and you can always upgrade later if you're not satisfied.
