Yesterday, quite by accident, I discovered that I could double my 2GB data package for my Smart-phone to 4 GB at no extra charge. Many of you may already have known about this change, but it was new to me.
Just log-in to "My Verizon" and select "Data Plan" in the lower right hand corner of the screen, put in your "My Verizon" Password, touch "Data Package 4GB" and a check mark will appear next to your selection. Touch "Data Package 2GB" to uncheck. Then touch Continue.
You can no doubt make the change on-line with your computer.

Can you be more specific about what screen you are on? All of the larger data plans have a higher price.

I assume you have a 4G phone? Just got off with a live chat with cust. svc. She said I would have to add a new line or service, or upgrade to a 4G phone.

Yes I do have a 4G Smart-Phone, the Bionic to be specific. When my "new any two" came up I made the move. My data package was 2GB at $30. The current promotion is 4GB for the same $30. I never gave it a thought that you might need a 4G phone. I was just trying to pass on info of a good deal.
I also have a 4G (Jet-pack) Hot-spot. Unfortunately, they haven't yet offered any promotions to enhance my current 5GB data limit. One can only hope.

I use the "My Verizon" App on my Smart-phone to help me keep up with the usage for all of my phones. When you get to the usage screen you will see in the lower right hand corner a place to select "data plans."
If you would rather use your computer instead, just log in to www.verizonwireless.com and click on plans. If you haven't set up an online account, you'll have to do that first.

Thanks, X. Maybe I just can't get it, since I have the iPhone 4S which is 3G.
