I've only had it at Sakura's so far, but I think I'm going to be hard pressed to find better!

Sakura is very good, but we prefer Bamboo Bistro as they offer more "inovative" rolls. you can't go wrong with either place.

Sakura food is very good, but the service is absolutely horrible. They don't care if you dine there or not. Have gotten way too popular (b/c of good food) and just don't care. At one time, was my favorite, but will never go there again, because they treat customers so badly.

I've always found the service at Sakura to be excellent! The food is excellent, too. I especially love the spider roll. Yum. :mmmm:

We've been to Sakura's twice within the last 6 weeks. We brought my cousins from Orlando and Alaska on one occasion and my aunt and uncle who just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. None of us saw any reason to be discontent with the service we received. Matter of fact on server was more helpful than we normally experience in any restaurant! After many visits to Sakura and many positive comments here and on other threads, I'd have to say that the bad experience mentioned has to be the exception rather than the rule! I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Have been to Sakura many, many times since it opened and the bad experience wasn't just one time; it was multiple times and I just finally reached my limit with being treated badly, but that's how it goes sometimes. Glad that it was good for you, especially when you had visitors with you :-)

We've been to Sakura many times, with only one minor problem with the service--my wife and I usually like to share a bento box and I order an extra soup. It's a ton of food and we usually have leftovers. On one visit a server seemed somewhat "put out" that we were sharing. I didn't think much of it because we had ordered the same thing there several times without any incident, but it did make my wife feel somewhat uncomfortable. We have gone since, ordered the same thing, and never had another issue.

I still prefer the more creative rolls served at Bamboo Bistro, but Sakura is still one of our favorites. Can't wait until they open their second store up this way (Plaza Grande).

VKI at Lake Sumter, by far the best. Get the Pink Maki Roll.If it's "by far the best," then it must be one unbelievably delicious sushi because I can't imagine any sushi could be that much better than Sakuras! Gotta get me to VKI real soon to try it! http://www.aegee.tv/images/smilies/smilie_party_food.gif

I dont know what "Chuckinca" means by his post, but 16 of us went to "Fuji Japanese Steakhouse" for lunch today. (Across street from Walmart). What a meal, our 2 lunches could feed at least 5 people, and the price is sensational (chicken is $7.45, with all the sides). You get Fried Rice, Mixed Veg. and a salad. Everything is fresh, nothing frozen. Our chef was friendly and the service was second to none. If you have not tried this place, give it a try, lunches are close to half price of the dinners. They also have a carry out menu which I have, as I am going to order to pickup, for something a little different. You have to give a 45 minute notice on to-go items. Tell them the "dude" sent you from TOTV.:)

I took it to mean Chuckinca didn't care for their sushi.

Did you, or any member of your party, order sushi? If so, how was it?

Nobody had sushi, but I'll try it. Most had steak and shrimp, steak and chicken, ect.

I've been there many times. Love their sushi, had a guest of mine order tempura, it was great. Never had a problem with service, never had any problems there. I usually order the sushi/sashimi combination, the presentation is gorgeous.

I think that when you show the sushi preparer how much you appreciate their efforts and talent they really step up their game.
