My husband and I would like to go to a park for the day and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. We are willing to travel some if we have to. Thank you for any suggestions you can give us.

Homosassa Springs is a nice day trip. I would think exploring the Ocala National forest could be interesting as well.

Fort De Soto is nice as are Honeymoon Island and Fred Howard Park. These are on the Gulf Coast in Pinellas County.

This link goes to Fort De Soto Park. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_ft_desoto.htm

Here is a link for Florida State Parks which covers Honeymoon Island-- http://www.floridastateparks.org/

And, here is a link to Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/06_howard.htm

Homasassa Spring is very nice. If you are a disabled veteran, you can get free lifetime admission to all Florida parks for you and spouse.

Rainbow Springs is also very nice. I also like Honeymoon Island state park.

Not a park but worth the trip to Leu Gardens in Orlando or Bok Tower near... somewhere.
Sr. moment just hit. Near Haines City?
